Yu Dafu is a famous literary scholar in modern times, he was born in Fuyang City on the banks of the Fuchun River, and his father Yu Shixian set up a school in his early years to teach and practice Traditional Chinese medicine. His family was originally a family of scholars, and it was only after the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom that it gradually fell apart. When the poet was born, his family was left with only an old three-bay building and six acres of thin land, and his family was extremely poor. The author later recalls his childhood as a child: "The first feeling I experienced was hunger.
In 1913, the eldest brother Yu Mantuo was sent by the Dali Academy in Beijing, where he worked, to Japan to investigate the judicial system, and Yu Dafu took this opportunity to travel east with him to Japan and began a decade-long study abroad life.
