On December 31, Nandu reporter learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that Changan Ford Automobile Co., Ltd. decided to recall some 2021 Forres cars produced between January 4, 2021 and August 9, 2021, with a total of 15,497 vehicles, starting from January 20, 2022.
According to the official website of the State Administration for Market Regulation, the vehicles within the scope of this recall adopt the method of double pulling and unlocking in the car to open the hood, but the "hood is not closed" prompt function is missing. If the hood is not fully locked after opening, the driver may be difficult to recognize the state in the car, and in extreme cases, the hood of the vehicle is at risk of being lifted, affecting the driver's line of sight, increasing the risk of collision of the vehicle, and there is a safety hazard.
Changan Ford Automobile Co., Ltd. will install a "hood not closed" prompt function for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate safety hazards.
