The morning after arriving at Tengchong and Shun Ancient Town, I got up early in the morning and walked through a number of bluestone old alleys in the ancient town, ready to visit the Heshun Old Market, which is said to have a history of more than 100 years and is one of the important places where locals live.
The ancient town in the early morning faded away the noise of the day, it seemed very quiet, and occasionally saw a few pedestrians, either hurried passers-by, or the old people who got up early to walk, their figures were very harmonious in the old alleys of the ancient town, and at the same time they seemed very lonely.
After walking for more than ten minutes, we finally came to this lively old market, which is different from the market in many other places, it does not have an open space, it is all concentrated in the adjacent alleys, and these alleys are not wider than other lanes, so from a distance, it seems extremely crowded.
Here, there seems to be no fixed stalls, all of which are small stalls that local people come to temporarily set up in the morning, and the goods they sell are basically grown by their own families or made by themselves.
This old market has endured a century of ups and downs, and is still bustling and full of fireworks, which is in stark contrast to the commercialized ancient towns.
The market is mostly selling some vegetables, fruits, meat, specialties, handicrafts, flowers, there are also some shops selling snacks and breakfasts, shouting and selling, bargaining sounds one after another, listening to these some noisy sounds, only to find that this may be the real appearance of the ancient town.
Yu Fan probably looked at the price of goods on the market, many of which are cheaper than what we usually see in the supermarket, such as some people just picked vegetables from the field, and with dewdrops, the price is one or two yuan a pound, the same dish in the city's supermarket is estimated to be several times, and it is not so fresh and healthy. The bowl of thin bean flour pictured above is only 3 yuan, which is part of our breakfast of the day.
Bought some snacks, found a steaming small shop to order a bowl of flour, is our breakfast, after eating we left the market to return to the hotel, the road also saw some local people's daily life paintings, such as laundry aunt, the local laundry has a special place, called laundry kiosk, in the middle of the paved tic-tac-toe stone strips, but also a local unique characteristic of the building.
