During the Spring Festival, the officers and men of the Fifth Detachment of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Of the Armed Police, together with the people's police and border guards stationed there, patrolled the border control areas against the bitter cold wind and guarded the tranquility of the border passes. Facing the cold wind and stepping on the thick snow, officers and soldiers carefully inspected the barbed wire fence and monitoring facilities, and provided assistance to Kazakh herdersmen.
