When Huang Zuyan died, the eldest son Huang Xin was only seven years old, and later grew up with the help of his mother and his father's former comrades-in-arms, as a descendant of a revolutionary soldier, he wanted to inherit his father's legacy, in 1963, after graduating from middle school, Huang Xin joined the People's Liberation Army, he started as an ordinary soldier, worked at the grass-roots level of the army for seven years, after the promotion he conscientiously did his work, because the work was gradually improved, successively serving as deputy political commissar of the regiment, deputy director of the division political department, and director of the military political department. Later transferred to the National Defense University, different positions allowed him to add a lot of work experience, in many military exercises to complete many urgent and dangerous tasks, it is worth mentioning that he also experienced the test of war, in the 80s participated in the Laoshan self-defense counterattack, and now Huang Xin serves as the deputy political commissar of the Air Force, becoming an air force lieutenant general.
His wife was Yang Ronghua, the daughter of founding general Yang Dezhi, who joined the army at the age of 19 and became a military doctor in the army, came to work in the General Staff Bureau in the 1980s, and served as the deputy director of the Management Bureau in the 90s, a female major general.
Although Huang Zuyan's ancestors died in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, it may be his regret that he failed to contribute the rest of his life to the construction of new China, but his children fulfilled his last wishes for his father and became the pillars of the motherland.
