LG Display announces a new display panel technology called OLED EX that will increase overall brightness by 30 percent and improve image clarity, as well as narrower screen bezels.
According to LG Display instructions, olED EX name comes from evolution (Evolution) and experience (eXperience), this technology is mainly in the OLED panel composition design to add deuterium elements, and with the image processing algorithm adjustment, so that the overall brightness of the screen and display clarity to improve, in addition to the user's viewing habits, predict the adjustment of the use of light-emitting diodes, so that the screen playback image content can interpret higher details and color performance.
Through olED EX panel technology, LG Display can make the 65-inch OLED TV from the original narrowest 6mm border design to 4mm, so that the screen can be built closer to the borderless form, corresponding to a larger display range.
OLED EX panel technology will be applied to LG's OLED TV screen in the second quarter of this year, and mass production is planned through production lines in Pozhou City, South Korea and Guangzhou City, China.
