Seeing that 2021 is about to pass, I thought that this year's poetry circle would be like this. However, in the 6th issue of Tibetan Literature in 2021, Zikong published a group poem "Bird Poetry". Such poems, which were also officially published in regular literary journals, have to be said to be a "big surprise".
This group of poems consists of 9 verses, from the beginning of "jokes, jokes / on fire" to the end of "home, home, home, home, home", all imitating the words of birds, without a word. At the beginning of the poem, the author notes that "when translating bird language, try to use the dialect of the local language". However, the author does not indicate exactly where the dialect of the local language is used.
And the dialects of our different places, the difference is really too big. Therefore, in this poem, what birds are written, it is really difficult to guess. What is such a poem to express? It's also hard to guess. But this is not only poetry, but also published publicly, which should be poetry.
Birds into poetry is not a rare thing. "Sit for a long time and overhear the yellow birds, and the green poplars are deep in the afternoon shade." "The wind ji qin Zhang Jing, the pond dim birds whispering." "Birds talk about bridge bamboo, fish on the water." However, in these poems, "bird language" is only a general title, and does not refer to what kind of bird it is and what kind of call it has.
The idiom "birds and flowers" is also a general term that refers to the calls of all birds. Zikong's "Bird Poetry" subverts the tradition of poetry, imitating the sounds of various birds throughout the text, which can be described as "unique". The poem uses the "transliteration" method to "translate" various bird languages into words and show it.
But even if it is translated, it is estimated that it is difficult for humans to understand. And because the translation is not accurate, the bird is also difficult to understand. This is actually a very laborious thing, but it is not flattering at both ends. Our poetry world has always been "constantly surprised", from the "pear blossom body", to the "wuqing body", "lamb body", and then to the "Peace Sutra" and "feces and urine body", now is the time for "bird language body".
When we don't understand it, we tend to say, "What is this bird language?" "Modern poetry is inherently difficult to understand, and the emergence of bird poetry gives a perfect commentary. Today's modern poetry is simply called "bird poetry", and no one can read it anyway.
We think it is not poetry, but they think it is good poetry, we feel that there is no poetry, but they say it is good poetry. We and them, as if we were in two different worlds, had no way to communicate, like people and birds. Even if the famous critics "translate", they still can't feel that good.
The author of this poem, ZiKong, is indeed a "famous poet" and "the founder of China's first bird poetry". Once the poet has the word "famous" in front of him, this is troublesome, and many of his works become difficult to understand. Our modern poetry is really all-encompassing, from white clouds, to bird talk, down to and urine, all of which can be included in poetry, but they do not say human words.
In fact, modern poetry, although it has the word "modern", is actually written out for people to see. Since it is for people to see, at least it must be understood, and you can't say your "bird language" and I say my "human language"? Then there is no way to communicate. You say that your poems are as well written as birds, so what's the use? Birds don't read poetry?
Indeed, our poetry world will never let us down. As far as the whole of 2021 is concerned, Jia Qianqian, who started the year, let people see the power of and urine. At the end of the year, the sub-space let people see the hazy "bird language", the start was powerful, and the ending was perfect. The theme of modern poetry is really getting more and more extensive, in addition to bird language, you can also write pig language, cow language, horse language, sheep language... The future is very good.
