It goes without saying that compared to many criticized workplace dramas, "Love Is Delicious" has made great progress, even if it is regarded as the "best XXX drama of the year", it cannot be said to be too prestigious.

"Love Is Delicious" is undoubtedly a dark horse in this year's TV drama market.
This is not the first time that the TV series of director Chen Zhengdao, screenwriter Shen Yang and Yi Shuaijie has exploded, last year, the "Skyscraper" created by the three people also achieved a high score of 8.0 on Douban.
The win is so big, naturally it has a unique feature that surpasses most of the episodes on the market. The fast-paced plot, decent acting, non-exaggerated filters and attention to social issues all make the audience sigh "a clear stream". There are indeed many remarkable points, but once the benchmark creators mentioned the model American drama "Sex and the City", "Delicious" is like being at home.
"Sex and the City" began airing in 1998 and consisted of six seasons, winning five Golden Globes and five Emmy Awards.
Of course, due to the censorship environment, the degree of social openness and other reasons, domestic creators inevitably shrink their hands and feet, but the "pediatric" sense of the series is not necessarily caused by these force majeure.
Plain is more important than catching horses

But the whole drama is suspended when connected, why? The three heroines are all circling between two men at the same time, and this Mary Sue-like setting is just one reason.
Even in a completely fictional TV series, the most eye-catching strong dramatic conflict can only be part of the play, and the characters need to be like all ordinary people, with normal life, flaws, inertia, strength and lack of catch, inconsistent behavior, and undefinable characteristics, that is, a plain side.
Plain is the opposite of catching a horse.
"Love is Delicious" each episode is 30 minutes, a total of 20 episodes, the volume is not large, the content is very complicated, the lives of the three protagonists with equivalent roles have undergone earth-shaking changes, and individuals have also experienced qualitative changes. For example, the protagonists are rarely alone, almost always in relationships with those around them, constantly in dialogue – communication or conflict. The plain texture comes from the examination of the life status of each character outside the strong dramatic conflict, whether it can be coherent and smooth, and use the same energy as shaping those important plays to shoot the plainness outside of the horse, which is often the key to determining whether a play is "OK" or "very good".
How can women's subjects only photograph women?
"Love is Delicious" and "Skyscraper" are TV series that will please female audiences, and the creators know what comfort women need, and "stuff" a large amount of value output in the play.
For a TV series, the audience's love to watch is the guarantee of clicks, but the resonance can only be the result, not as the original intention of creation, otherwise it will be flattering.
To some extent, the play is like a list, through the events of dramatic conflict to show the various problems that adult women may encounter in life and work, and the roles of different people accurately correspond to specific types of difficulties: Sweet Sister Fang Xin has encountered the dilemma of full-time housewife reemployment and various sexual harassment, strong woman Xia Meng has endured gender discrimination in the workplace and questioning the relationship between successful women and ordinary men, and Liu Jing, a popular woman, is facing her parents' continuous PUA and marriage urging.

How to deal with these problems? For example, when discussing the relationship between Xia Meng and Wang Jichong,000 women and men, the audience sees that the imprisoned women put down the past and bravely start a new life, but in fact, men are both the makers of the cage and the prisoners in it, and the relationship between the two is not summed up by the description of the little man and the big heroine. Focusing only on women and not on both sexes, you can only get the answer of scratching the itch of the boots.
In the love line, "Delicious" tells the audience that they must choose one or the other without dragging the mud, do not allow the protagonist to be weak, and they will even hold a conference of criticism and self-criticism, accusing friends of whether what they have done is too green tea; in the workplace line, it has the same routine and assumption as other workplace dramas, and does not have a detailed portrayal of workplace life.
"Delicious" keeps asking questions, giving answers, and then it goes to this point, without further extension, as if things are solved, and the discussion of this kind of problem can end.
Each of the three heroines has two male pursuits, and is faced with the choice of choosing one or the other.
Where are the answers
Women's dilemma contains specific events in the play, and is not simply made up of these events, different degrees of repression, discrimination, offense has become the panorama of life, many times even out of the unintentional actions of others, the most important thing is that because of being domesticated into habits, women may not be able to realize their weakness, in this sense, the main feminist film and television drama must be less "cool" and brisk, or even if it is "cool" and brisk on the surface, there must be a kind of loneliness behind it. The reason why there is such a big gap, the domestic restrictions on the subject matter and content is only one of the reasons, more importantly, the two dramas have a completely different perspective on the world.

The problem itself is not new and profound, it is all daily talk, the attitude of the creators is neutral, they realize that whether it is women or men, they are all in contradiction, and the final conclusion of the heroine only provides a way of thinking.
From this point of view, "Love is Delicious" and other domestic dramas are not fundamentally different, the purpose is to give the audience the expected answers, the protagonists who can successfully solve all the problems and the compact and blank plot also show that this is a cool drama. In the current creative environment, it seems that asking for more is a harsh responsibility, but creators should not stop exploring deeper expressions.
