Yuan Shikai's aunt was princess Kim of Joseon. The Korean princess had a gap with the prince of the great courtyard and asked the Qing court to send troops to quell the rebellion, and Yuan Shikai crossed the east with his governor. Dayuanjun was captured in the Qing Dynasty. Li Hongzhang reused Yuan Shikai and ordered Yuan Shikai to escort the prince back to the dynasty in October 1885, and named the 26-year-old Yuan Shikai "the minister stationed in Korea to negotiate trade affairs", Yuan Shikai was very popular in the dynasty and married princess Kim.
