A few days ago, Guanzhong RV announced that it will launch a new generation of off-road roof-up RVs, and the official design drawings have been exposed. The public caravan has previously built a free cannon caravan according to the Great Wall Cannon, and the upcoming off-road roofing caravan has improved the off-road ability of the whole vehicle on the basis of maintaining the basic life and travel attributes of the caravan, making it a cross-border product that can meet the diversified needs of consumers.
According to the design drawings, it is not difficult to see that the new car is still built with the special chassis of the Great Wall Gun single-type RV. However, unlike the free gun caravan using a passenger gun /commercial gun chassis design, the off-road roofing caravan will most likely be built with an off-road gun chassis, which can be seen from the cockpit appearance style. The new car basically continues the design style of the off-road gun, the overall use of high-grade gray color, with fluorescent yellow as an embellishment to enhance the texture of the vehicle, the engine compartment style has been slightly adjusted, while adding 5 yellow marker lights in the front grille position.
What is shown in the design drawing is the unhighed state of the vehicle, and it is not known whether the traditional soft ceiling or the hard lifting roof is used. The visual height of the body in the unhipped state is about 2 meters, which is convenient for passing through the height limit section during daily driving, so that the vehicle itself can enter the basement more calmly, or pass through the mountain and river jungle area with limited space.
Due to the main off-road crossover concept, the new car will be equipped with the Great Wall GW4D20M 2.0T diesel engine, matched with ZF 8AT gearbox, maximum power 140kW, peak torque 400N·m, the application of BorgWarner TOD intelligent four-wheel drive system and electronically controlled rear axle differential lock. In other aspects, the rear axle of the new car needs to be rear suspended by leaf springs to accommodate load modification, and the whole vehicle adopts K-MAN nitrogen suspension and AT all-terrain tires, equipped with electric winch, and also has a 2.5-ton drag qualification.
