According to the WeChat public account of the Zhejiang Consumer Protection Commission, on December 28, the Zhejiang Provincial Consumer Protection Commission received rectification reports from five platforms and related anchors of Taobao, Pinduoduo, JD.com, Kuaishou and Douyin. Li Jiaqi, a well-known anchor who was previously named, said through its operator that he would immediately stop selling related goods, make changes to all goods in inventory, and re-list related products after the changes were completed and after a new round of testing.

Previously, the Consumer Protection Commission of Zhejiang Province conducted a consumer inspection of the "Double Eleven" live broadcast of Taobao, Pinduoduo, JD.com, Kuaishou and Douyin, and found that nearly 40% of the products did not meet the national standards, including Li Jiaqi, Wei Ya, Luo Yonghao, Sydney, Lie'er Baby, Timor Little Crazy and other well-known anchors who ranked in the top ten online popularity. On December 23, the Consumer Protection Commission of Zhejiang Province interviewed the five major platforms of Taobao, Pinduoduo, Kuaishou, JD.com, and Douyin and related anchors.

Judging from the content of the rectification report disclosed by the Zhejiang Provincial Consumer Protection Commission, all platforms have responded, punishing the anchors involved by suspending broadcasts, deducting points, liquidated damages, etc., removing and sealing all goods that do not meet national standards, and setting up advance compensation to ensure consumers' return and refund requirements.

For example, the Taobao platform said that at present, all the hidden dangers have not been eliminated from the shelves, and the offending anchors and merchants have been punished for deleting illegal information, illegal counting/deducting points, and requiring the corresponding merchants to take the initiative to seal, return or destroy the unqualified inventory, and no longer carry out secondary sales. At the same time, the platform has linked up with merchants to do a good job of after-sales protection plan, for the existence of materials that do not meet the national standards, take the initiative to contact consumers to inform, and provide after-sales protection according to consumer requirements, and provide consumers with return refunds and other guarantees for other unqualified goods. If the merchant has insufficient money to guarantee, the platform has set up a service guarantee fund pool to support the consumer to protect the consumer first and then collect the payment from the corresponding merchant.

The Taobao platform also told the Zhejiang Provincial Consumer Protection Commission that it will actively urge institutions and anchors to select good products, and then carry out publicity and description after fully collecting evidence and verifying the selling point information and price comparison of goods entering the live broadcast room; further improve the pre-inspection tools for selecting products, and prompt the platform's accumulated consumer feedback problems on goods to the anchors in the pre-inspection of product selection, strengthen the empowerment of the anchor's selection; strengthen the control and control, increase the cost of violations; and link the anchor to do a good job of consumer rights and interests protection tips.

The Douyin platform also said that at present, for the products found to be problematic, it has taken blocking measures to deal with it, and requires the store to which the problem goods belong, and the corresponding anchors check and rectify. Scan and verify similar products and remove the corresponding problem products from the shelves. For similar goods, the platform will organize internal special sampling inspections to check the similar problem goods and ensure the compliance of merchants and goods.

In the future, Douyin will strengthen anchor training, through the live broadcast room script pre-trial tool, to ensure the compliance of the star live broadcast room script; adopt the "machine + manual" review method, the intelligent technology will be widely used in the live broadcast review work; strict judgment, for the anchor suspected of violations, through the push of the station message, improve the clarity of violations; take real-time monitoring + spot checks to control the quality of the goods on the shelves.

The Zhejiang Provincial Consumer Protection Commission also disclosed in the WeChat public account that the relevant anchors involved in the problem also submitted rectification instructions within the specified time, all of which expressed their recognition of their mistakes, accepted the supervision of the Zhejiang Provincial Consumer Protection Commission, accepted the penalties made by the platform, and promised the Provincial Consumer Protection Commission that they would operate in accordance with the law in the future, and would further strengthen the study of relevant laws and regulations in the future, standardize live broadcast behavior, and eliminate the same problems.
