Ban the sale of fuel vehicles in 2030! British Motor Association: Novice drivers no longer need to learn manual transmission

In the future, you may no longer be able to experience the joy of manual transmission.

According to foreign media reports, the British Automobile Association said that with the future shift to new energy vehicles, drivers will not need to learn to drive manual cars.

Edmund King, president of the British Automobile Association, said the future will be the world of electric vehicles, because from 2030, petrol and diesel cars will be banned from the road, which also means that novice drivers will only have the option to learn to drive simpler electric vehicles.

It is reported that in November last year, the United Kingdom officially announced the "Green Industrial Revolution" plan to achieve the goal of "net zero emissions" of greenhouse gases by 2050. Among them, it is proposed to ban the sale of new gasoline and diesel vehicles by 2030, aiming to meet the country's climate target of net zero emissions, which is a full 10 years earlier than originally planned.

The data shows that the number of learned drivers taking the self-driving car exam in the UK has more than tripled since 2008, rising from 3.8% to 13.8%.

Demon points out that there is a growing recognition that there is no need to learn how to shift gears as before. Because in the near future, all cars will become automatics.

Starting next year, as the largest driving training school, the Automobile Association will open electric vehicle driving courses nationwide, teaching students how to drive safely and save electricity.
