Text/No Counting Reading History

In 1937, the Japanese army launched an attack on Taiyuan, and the Chinese army rose up to resist and opened a line of defense.

The troops who resisted the Japanese frontally were the Kuomintang troops, and the Eighth Route Army under the communist command had already laid deep roots in the enemy's rear at this time.

In 1937, our soldiers attacked the Japanese airfield at night, destroying 24 aircraft, and Chiang Kai-shek took 20,000 oceans

01 Beginnings

When the Japanese army fought, it always bombarded the positions of the Chinese army with all kinds of heavy firepower, and the Japanese aircraft caused the soldiers of the Chinese army the most headache.

The Chinese army has almost no effective anti-aircraft weapons and can only watch as the planes dive down and pour fire.

What if I can't fight? The commander of the Eighth Route Army soon discovered where the airfields built by the Japanese army were.

It was the airfield that Yan Xishan had once built, and all 24 Japanese planes were parked there, and there was Yangmingbao.

02 Night Raid

The soldiers of the Eighth Route Army disguised themselves as villagers and quietly surveyed the Japanese garrison at Yangmingbao, and soon got a very surprise news.

The Japanese garrison of Yangmingbao was very relaxed, with only 500 people left, and only 200 people on the airport side.

On the night of October 19, 1937, the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army had quietly touched the airfield.

The soldiers carried a large amount of explosives and prepared to dig out the "nest" of the Japanese army in one breath.

Some of the fighters rushed towards the nearby Japanese stronghold to contain the Japanese forces, while a company of fighters had already touched the door of the airfield.

"Boo!" The soldiers and the Japanese soldiers exchanged fire, and the Japanese searchlights came over, and the machine gun bullets rushed in the direction of the soldiers.

"Boo!" There was another crackling sound, and the Japanese searchlights were shattered by the sharpshooters of the Eighth Route Army.

In the night, the Czech-style firelight illuminated the vicinity, the morale of the soldiers was very high, and the combat effectiveness of the Japanese army was not low.

While the Attention of the Japanese Army was all focused on the front, the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army in another company had already cut the barbed wire of the Japanese army and rushed into the Japanese machine guns one by one.

The fighters quickly spread out on both flanks, and there was also a part of the Japanese army inside the airfield, and the two units began to clash, but the Japanese soldiers were quickly solved.

At this point, the 24 Japanese planes were placed in front of the soldiers, and the soldiers quickly threw ammunition and fuel on the Japanese planes.

The commander waited until all the fighters had completed their mission and began to blast.

There was a loud noise, and the Japanese soldiers who were fighting in front of them were stunned, and then they turned back and saw the mess on the airfield, full of flames, and they were shocked!

It turned out that he had been counted.

03 Retreat

The combat mission was successfully completed, the soldiers began to withdraw from the position, and the Japanese soldiers were even more reluctant to fight, and quickly rushed to the side of the aircraft.

They had to hurry up and put out the fire to see if they could salvage the next plane or two, but that was obviously too unlikely.

The Eighth Route Army's move was appreciated by all of China, and Chiang Kai-shek personally sent 20,000 oceans and aircraft to investigate.

Sure enough, the Japanese airfield was in a mess, and the Japanese soldiers were constantly cleaning up.

In this battle, the soldiers of the Eighth Route Army sacrificed more than thirty soldiers, while the Japanese army was killed by more than 100 and lost 24 aircraft, which can be said to have suffered a big loss, and the Chinese army on the frontal battlefield also reduced a lot of pressure.
