In the eight-year War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, at its most intense, the strength of the two sides involved in the war was millions, and although China's 5.6 million troops were a little more than Japan's 4.1 million, because the weapons and other military equipment were far apart, the Japanese army made China pay more than 35 million casualties at the cost of more than 1.3 million casualties, which was very tragic.
As the mainstay of the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Eighth Route Army also suffered heavy losses, among which the most tragic of the main regiments of the Eighth Route Army, the first regimental commander and three battalion commanders were heroically sacrificed, only the deputy regimental commander survived, and later became the number one general in Erye!

2. The Heroic 772 Regiment
The 772nd Regiment was attached to the 386th Brigade of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army.
The 386th Brigade was reorganized from the 91st And 93rd Divisions of the 31st Army of the Fourth Front of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, with the brigade commander being the famous General Chen Geng, the deputy brigade commander being General Chen Zaidao, and the chief of staff being General Li Jukui.
Because the 386th Brigade, under the leadership of General Chen Geng, fought the ambush battle of Qiqi Village, the ambush battle of Changshengkou, and the ambush battle of Shentou Ridge, which became a thorn in the eyes of the Japanese devils, the Japanese army swept up and fought under the banner of "specializing in the 386 Brigade".

In the deathly battle with the Japanese Kou, the 772nd Regiment, as the main force of the 386th Brigade, suffered heavy casualties, and the first regimental commander and three battalion commanders were killed.

Ding Silin, the commander of the first battalion, was only 26 years old at the time of his death.
Guo Guoyan, the commander of the second battalion, was only 29 years old when he died in battle.
When the commander of the third battalion, Yi Liangpin, died heroically, he had already been promoted to brigade commander and commander of the military sub-district, and he was only 33 years old, which was a pity.
Among the first senior military commanders of the 772nd Regiment, only the deputy regiment lived until the founding of New China, grew up to become a general of the Erno, and participated in the 1955 award.
