Born in 1915 in Hong'an County, Hubei Province, Wang Jinshan grew up with a fierce personality, often fighting with people in the township, known as "heaven is not afraid", China in the 20s and 30s was a time of change, and Hubei was the most turbulent place in China at that time.
Wang Jinshan's sister joined the guerrillas under the influence of an underground party member at the time. At the age of 15, under the influence of his sister, he also joined the Red Army, and this year, just in 1930, began his half-life journey.
Although Wang Jinshan is not very old, in the ranks of the Red Army, he quickly attracted everyone's attention by virtue of his character of daring to fight on the battlefield and became a general valued by many leaders. The nickname of "Wang Madman" was given to him by his comrade-in-arms Xu Xiangqian.
In November 1931, Xu Xiangqian, commander-in-chief of the Red Fourth Army, presided over the third anti-"encirclement and suppression" combat meeting, and the 30th Regiment, of which Wang Jinshan was the battalion commander, was arranged as a reserve. Later, the 30 regiments suffered from the enemy in the abdomen, and it was Wang Jinshan and his comrades-in-arms who killed a bloody road.
This battle was Wang Jinshan's first battle to make a name for himself, and after this battle, Xu Xiangqian said a word: "I still have such a beautiful little battalion commander!" A good king madman, scared the enemy into wetting his pants! ”

In 1942, Wang Jinshan took over as the brigade commander of the 386 brigade, at that time, the Japanese army specifically proposed a combat goal: to fight the 386 brigade, which shows how fierce Wang Jinshan was on the battlefield.
Once, Okamura was forced to be anxious and used both planes and cannons. After Wang Jinshan lined up the troops, he took off his shirt and returned to the battlefield, and finally led his troops to successfully break through in 3 ways.
For a time, the people spread such a sentence in their mouths: "Wang Crazy laughs, Okamura Ningji jumps!" And the name "Wang Crazy Man" is not only known to Xu Xiangqian and Deng Xiaoping, but also to Chairman Mao.
In 1945, Hu Zongnan launched an attack on the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region in the final stage of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and Mao Zedong pointed out that the madman of the revolutionaries should be used to deal with the madman of the counter-revolution, so he sent Wang Jinshan to fight with Hu Zongnan.
Wang Jinshan, who was so brave on the battlefield, ushered in the first very important promotion opportunity in his life shortly after joining the Red Army.
On the battlefield, Wang Jinshan fought bravely and made many battle achievements, and in 1933, he was promoted from an ordinary Red Army soldier to the commander of the 28th Regiment. At that time, the military commander Wang Hongkun called Wang Jinshan, who was in the hospital, to his station.

Hearing these words, Wang Jinshan calmed down and thought for a while, saying that because the team had been seriously injured in the previous war, he needed a person to help him re-establish order.
Wang Hongkun originally thought that Wang Jinshan would ask for a person who was good at management in the army, but he did not expect Wang Jinshan to say to himself: "Commander, can I ask for a health captain?" Zhang Lisan of the 30th Regiment. ”
Although Wang Hongkun had many questions in his heart, he knew that Wang Jinshan should have his own considerations, so he did not ask any more questions and agreed to Wang Jinshan's application.
Zhang Lisan, who joined the Red Army in 1931, was working in the 30th Regiment of the 10th Division of the Red Fourth Army in the winter of 1932 when the Red Fourth Front moved westward.
Although the two people have not worked together for a long time, because Wang Jinshan's style of not being afraid of death on the battlefield often leads to his own injury, so the contact with the health captain is naturally more.

Since then, Wang Jinshan has served as the commander of the 28th Regiment of the 10th Division, and Zhang Lisan has been the health captain of the 28th Regiment, and the two of them have fought on the battlefield together, one fighting in the front and the other saving lives and helping the wounded in the rear, and they have been together for more than twenty years for a common revolutionary goal, and they have formed incomparably deep feelings.

As we all know, Wang Jinshan is not afraid of injury, fight, and sacrifice. This "three not afraid" made him always become the person who rushed to the front of the line on the battlefield, and although he won the battle in the end, he was inevitably injured.
As the captain of the health team, Zhang Lisan always kept his duties in mind and wholeheartedly protected the safety of Wang Jinshan.
In July 1934, the Red Fourth Front concentrated in the Wanyuan area and prepared for a defensive battle. And Wanyuandi is a very dangerous environment, it was summer, the weather is either hot like a mountain of flames, or thunder and rain, in such weather, the difficulty of combat can be imagined, which is a test for the soldiers.
What is more serious is that because it is located in the deep mountains, there is not much grain, and for a long time, the soldiers have run out of food, and there are few wild vegetables left. As the leader of the regiment, Wang Jinshan was also given a bowl of wild vegetable soup with a few grains of rice every day, but Wang Jinshan, who was distressed about the soldiers, was not willing to drink, but let people serve the soup to the wounded.

In 1934, the CCP, in conjunction with other party and governments, issued a program calling on the Chinese nation to establish self-defense forces, while also carrying out clean-up operations against domestic warlords.
In April 1935, Wang Jinshan led the 28th Regiment to form a reserve of the red fourth army and went to the Jiangyou area to assist Xu Xiang in the battle against the Sichuan warlord Liu Xiang.
At that time, Liu Xiang was preparing to annihilate the Red Fourth Front in one fell swoop, and for this battle, he made sufficient preparations, organized the strength of 18 regiments, and also sent aircraft to cover.
Jiangyou is a key area, first of all, as the main gateway of Chengdu, is Liu Xiang's territory, so that Liu Xiang has a home field advantage, coupled with the advantages of ammunition and grain and grass, Liu Xiang is indeed a "difficult to deal with" opponent, and even comments that Liu Xiang has the advantage of "heaven, place, and people", how can we win in the face of such an opponent?
Facts have proved that our army is not weak, and in the face of such an advantageous opponent, our army naturally has a way to win, and this method is our Wang Jinshan.
In the evening of the same day, a small group of enemy troops, under the cover of fire, rushed straight into our position, and the position was in danger. Wang Jinshan, who had been waiting at the top of the hill for a long time, had long been ready to move, and after the order was issued, he rushed into the enemy camp like a wild horse with a bayonet.

At this time, after Zhang Lisan, who was on standby in the camp at any time, learned the news, he immediately put on his medical bag and rushed to Wang Jinshan's side, facing Wang Jinshan, who had lost too much blood and was unconscious, Zhang Lisan did not panic at all, and very calmly said to the others: "You go to the battlefield first!" This sentence was like a reassuring pill, so that the atmosphere was no longer as tense as just now, when Zhang Lisan was simply cleaning up the wound and preparing to bandage, he was shouting Wang Jinshan outside.
This person was the commander-in-chief Xu Qiangqian, and the front position was in a hurry, and Xu Xiangqian was holding a gun in his hand and looking for Wang Jinshan everywhere. Wang Jinshan, who had just bandaged his wounds, gradually woke up from his coma, heard that someone was looking for him, found a weapon and rushed to the front line again.
Zhang Lisan, as a doctor, was supposed to let the injured Wang Jinshan retire from the front line to recuperate, but he knew that the battle situation was urgent, and he knew Wang Jinshan's temper, even if he said it was useless, so he instructed the guards to protect the safety of the regimental commander.
Under the sworn resistance of the Red Fourth Army, Liu Xiang finally failed to capture the position. At this time, Wang Jinshan, who was already seriously injured, was already exhausted, and his previously tense spirit had also relaxed, and the gun he was holding in his hand fell because of lack of strength, and at this time he was ready to return to the camp to deal with the injury.
But what was unexpected was that the enemy actually put a cold arrow at this time, and when everyone was not prepared, a bullet through the crowd just hit Wang Jinshan's head, and Wang Jinshan immediately fell to the ground.

Zhang Lisan, who was not far away to treat the wounds of the soldiers, was called to his side by the guards and immediately rescued him, and after the bleeding in his head stopped, Zhang Lisan and the hygienists carried Wang Jinshan on a stretcher, and sent him to the rear of the rescue all the way, and Wang Jinshan only then recovered a life.
It can be said that Zhang Lisan not only protected Wang Jinshan on the defensive front, but also guarded the rear for him when Wang Jinshan sprinted to the front line, silently treating every injured team member, and in this battle of Jiangyou, Zhang Lisan twice pulled Wang Jinshan back from the ghost gate at a critical juncture.

After the founding of New China, our party demanded that the personnel of the troops get rid of the "banditry" of the war years and become soldiers with knowledge, culture, and ability in the new era.
It is strange to say that every time Wang Jinshan was angry, as long as Zhang Lisan was around, Wang Jinshan's anger could be dissolved. Therefore, the guards around Wang Jinshan caught Zhang Lisan's "magic recipe", as long as Wang Jinshan was furious, the guards would skillfully run to the Ministry of Health to ask Zhang Lisan. It can be seen that in Wang Jinshan's heart, he always remembered Wang Jinshan's life-saving grace.

However, the general who had spent half his life was eventually defeated by illness. In early 1974, Wang Jinshan gradually felt unwell, and by November, he had to be admitted to the hospital because of vomiting blood.
At first, after a series of examinations, the cause was not found, so the doctor decided to perform a surgical examination after asking for instructions, and after opening the abdominal cavity, it turned out to be stomach cancer.
Unfortunately, after the operation, the intestines broke again, causing leaky intestines, and the stool kept leaking out, and Wang Jinshan, who had just undergone surgery, had to undergo surgery again.
Soon, the news reached Deng Xiaoping's ears. That same night, Deng Xiaoping issued an instruction: Do whatever it takes to rescue him. Deng Xiaoping's words made Wang Jinshan very moved, and he knew that the old leader had not forgotten himself.
In 1955, Wang Jinshan was awarded the rank of founding lieutenant general. However, in 1964, due to marital problems, Wang Jinshan's military rank was demoted to colonel, and the post of deputy commander of the military region was also revoked.
It was not until 1969 that General Xu Shiyou proposed to Chairman Mao at a meeting to reinstate Wang Jinshan. After that, Wang Jinshan re-emerged from the mountains and went to Xu Shiyou's Nanjing Military Region as deputy chief of staff.
