Recently, another major archaeological discovery in Jiangxi was announced to the public. According to the latest archaeological research, the archaeological findings may be related to the Yue King's Gou Jian Xuan Sun.
Relevant experts also said that this discovery will have great significance for the study of Vietnamese history, and at the same time, it may also fill in some historical gaps and make new breakthroughs in Vietnamese cultural research.
The tomb excavated is the Guozishan Tomb located in Zhangshu, Jiangxi, which is also the largest archaeological discovery in Jiangxi to date in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty.
On October 7, 2019, the Guozishan Tomb Group was incorporated into the fifth batch of national key cultural relics protection units in the list of the eighth batch of national key cultural relics protection units. Today, the latest research results are indeed worth looking forward to.

Guozishan Tomb, the tomb group of yue royal family nobles
Like the tomb of Marquis Hai, the Guozishan tomb group was also discovered for tomb robbery. In 2013, the relevant archaeological research institutes began a preliminary survey of tomb No. 1 of the tomb.
In 2017, with the full support of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, continuous archaeological excavations and research work were carried out on the tomb group.
During the excavation, more than 2,600 pieces (sets) of artifacts were unearthed, including: a kite with a total length of 2.3 meters (the longest kite unearthed in tombs in the pre-Qin period), two bronze ge (halberds) with the inscription "Yue Wang", and a bronze dove staff with a sato-shaped pendant (such artifacts were previously only found in the Wuyue Cultural Area in the lower reaches of the Yangtze River).
And according to the latest archaeological research, the tomb belongs to the middle of the Warring States period, the tomb owner is the Yue royal family nobles, of which the owners of the Ming Tong Ge (戟) are the xuansun Fei and a son of the Yue King.

A large tomb that travels through thousands of years of history
Jiangxi camphor tree has a long history, and from the Western Zhou to the Spring and Autumn Warring States period, it belonged to Wu, Yue and Chu.
The appearance of the Guozishan Tomb here seems to be normal. Especially through thousands of years of history, there may still be too many wars and disputes between the three kingdoms of Wu, Yue and Chu.
The inference of this archaeological study suggests that the tomb may be related to the grandson of the Yue King, especially in the inscription of the excavated Inscription Tongge (戟), which clearly has the master's record: "The person who used the halberd from the beginning" and "the eldest son of the King of Yutai is not (?) Shou Zi Zha Yuan with a spear".
Who is the Xuan Sun Fei of the Yue King?
In the "History of the Yue King's Gou Jian Family" and other relevant materials, it is clearly stated that his lineage is: "Gou Jian - Mo and - Bu Shou - Weng - Feng - Hou - Boundless". It can be seen that this inference is not empty.
At the same time, whether there are other members of the Yue royal family in this tomb, whether there are relevant historical records of the end of the Yue Kingdom, and whether there are more important historical discoveries... These are worth looking forward to!

Of course, this is the first time that the excavation work has been announced to the public, just like the tomb of Marquis Haidi, from the beginning of excavation in 2011 to the real determination of the identity of the tomb owner in 2015 (Liu He, grandson of Emperor Wu of Han), which has also experienced too much research work.
