Wu Zehao, born in 1943 in Shantou, Guangdong Province, graduated from the Chinese Painting Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 1966 and studied under Professors Guan Shanyue, Li Xiongcai and Yang Zhiguang. Famous Chinese painter, calligrapher, expert enjoying special government allowances from the State Council. He is a deputy to the Ninth and Tenth National People's Congresses, an advisor to the Central Academy of Calligraphy and Painting of the Jiusan Society, an advisor to the National Academy of Ethnic Painting, a researcher of the Calligraphy and Painting Institute of the Central Museum of Culture and History, a vice president of the Calligraphy and Painting Institute of the Shandong Provincial People's Congress, a vice president of the Calligraphy and Painting Institute of the Shandong Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, a librarian of the Shandong Provincial Museum of Literature and History, a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a national first-class artist, a former vice chairman of the Jinan Municipal CPPCC Committee, a former vice chairman of the Shandong Artists Association, and a former chairman of the Jinan Federation of Literary and Art Circles. He has held solo exhibitions and lectures at the National Art Museum of China and the Military Museum of China.
Although he is more than ancient, he has continuously created 100 themed works, such as "Jia Wu Hai Festival" in 2014, "Iron Cast Anti-War" in 2015, and "Long March Road" trilogy in 2016, which were collected and published by Taishan Publishing House. Painting exhibitions were held in Shandong, Beijing and Guangdong, which attracted widespread attention. "Hongyi Zen Yi", "Wuxun Song Ballad", "Freehand Dunhuang", "Suzi Dongpo", "Confucius Praise", "Yuanqu Record soul", "Jinan Context" and other series of large thematic works, well received. In 2016, the Museum of Literature and History of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference published an audio-visual collection of "Telling China, Wu Zehao" for him, and included his artistic life in the national CPPCC database.
