This series of pseudo-ancient character paintings are mostly drawn from laolian figures and a few Qiu Ying women, landscapes, etc., and the overall style is detailed with stick figures. Most of the paintings are different from the originals – the composition changes, the reorganization of the content, the fine-tuning of the characters, etc. When it comes to laolian figures, there are not a few of themselves; but every time I search, I can find new and surprising paintings, even if I want to have some changes, but I am attracted to the point that I can't move the brush, and I frequently borrow the ancients to express them.

The idea comes from a part of the "West Garden Collection" "Rice Inscription Stone", the inscription verse is also composed by Mi Fu, the first two sentences are used as painting titles, and the last sentence is inscribed on the stone wall, which is a very interesting painting.
