There were many strong women in ancient China, such as Lü Yan, Wu Zetian, Empress Xiao, Xiao Zhuang, Cixi and so on. Of course, from the identity of these people, it can also be seen that they are all members of the royal harem. After all, the queen concubines can also control the power of the dynasty, so they have played a role in history. So, are the only strong women in history to be concubines? Are there any women of other statuses who are also capable enough to promote the development of the country? Of course, there are still such women, such as suma lama in the Qing Dynasty. Su Ma Lagu, a Mongolian, originally named Su Moer, was changed to Su Ma La in the late Shunzhi period, and after her death, she was revered by the people in the palace as Su Ma Lagu.

SuMa La was born in a poor herdsman's family in the Horqin steppe, because she was talented and witty since childhood, and was soon favored by the Horqin Belle Province. When she entered the Horqin Belle Mansion, she was assigned to the second lady of the house, Bumubutai, as a maid. If no one knows about Bumubutai, then her honorific title, Empress Xiaozhuang, must be known to everyone and everyone! That is to say, Su Ma La is a personal maid who grew up with Xiaozhuang, and this identity cannot be underestimated. Ten years after the Mandate of Jin, Bumubutai married Emperor Taiji, the eighth son of Nurhaci at that time, and Su Ma La, as a personal maid, naturally followed the dowry.
In the process of accompanying Bumubutai, Su Ma La, with his clever mind, not only mastered the Manchu language, but also wrote a beautiful Manchu, and also took care of the things around Bumubutai inside and out. Therefore, she was very favored by Bumubutai. In the first year of Chongde, the Qing Dynasty began to customize the system of crown clothing, and Su Ma La, because of her talent, was recommended to the court by Concubine Zhuang, and later Su Ma La did not live up to the trust of Princess Zhuang, on the basis of inheriting the traditional style of crown clothing, she absorbed the advantages of Manchu, Mongolian, Han and other northern ethnic costumes, and completed the task brilliantly. From here, it is enough to see that Su Ma La is also a craftsman! Later, the Qing army entered the customs, and Su Ma La also lived with Xiaozhuang in the golden and brilliant Forbidden City.
At that time, emperor Taiji was newly mourned, and the Shunzhi Emperor was still young, so in order to allow Shunzhi to smoothly take over the affairs of the dynasty in the future, Xiaozhuang, as the empress dowager, only had to pay more effort to supervise and cultivate Shunzhi. However, because of the restrictions of the rules and regulations of the harem, the opportunity for the two to meet is limited, so the role of Su Ma La, as a bridge to communicate with the two, is not generally large! It can be said that the growth and learning of Shunzhi are also inseparable from the guidance of Su Mala! In the eleventh year of Shunzhi, the Kangxi Emperor was born, and Xiaozhuang ordered Su Ma La to take care of his grandchildren. It can be seen here that the status of this Su Ma La in the harem is really not low, as a servant, she is so trusted by Xiao Zhuang that she can be personally arranged by the empress dowager to take care of her grandson.
When Kangxi was young, he was also taught by Su Ma La, and because Su Ma La's talent had learned, he became one of Kangxi's teachers: when Xuan Ye was young, he relied on qi to teach the national book by hand. In the twenty-sixth year of Kangxi, Xiaozhuang died, and Su Mala fell into deep sorrow, in order to alleviate Su Mala's emotions, Kangxi actually handed over his twelve princes to Su Mala to raise, hoping that this child could bring some hope and comfort to Su Mala. It can be seen that the status of this Su Ma La in the mind of the Kangxi Emperor is not low, in order to let an old man over seventy years old get out of grief, Kangxi can actually hand over his son to her, you know that in the Qing Palace, only the main position above the concubine is eligible to raise the prince.
In the forty-fourth year of the Kangxi Dynasty, Su Ma La, who was already ninety-four years old, died, and her coffin was also placed with Empress Xiaozhuang's. At the same time, Kangxi had all the princes treat her as his grandmother, and SuMala's funeral was also carried out according to the rank of concubine. Su Mala never married in her life, but from her life experience, it can be seen that this poor woman from slavery, through the four dynasties of Nurhaci, Huang Taiji, Shunzhi and Kangxi, changed her fate with her own talents. She not only participated in the reform of the crown costume of the Qing Dynasty, but also played a great influence on the growth of the two emperors of Shunzhi and Kangxi, among which Kangxi also became an emperor for thousands of years, such a legendary woman can indeed be regarded as a strong woman!
