Yang Sen was painstaking about cultivating a successor, and when Yang Hanlie was less than 14 years old, he sent him to study at Yuying Middle School in Beiping, and this move also allowed the young Yang Hanlie to come into contact with progressive ideas early, and what was even more unexpected was that he experienced the pain of Japanese aggression on the Chinese nation early, because at that time the Great Wall War of Resistance broke out, he and his classmates went to the front line to comfort the officers and soldiers, and experienced the hardships of the War of Resistance.
