GAC Group expects sales to exceed 2.1 million units in 2021 and plans to increase production and sales by 15% next year

On December 23, GAC Group held the 8th meeting of the sixth board of directors to summarize the completion of operations in 2021. In 2021, GAC Group expects to produce and sell approximately 2,098,000 units and 2,113,000 units, up approximately 3.1% and 3.4% year-on-year, respectively. In 2022, we will target a 15% year-on-year increase in vehicle production and sales.

This year, the entire automobile industry continued to be affected by chip shortages, supply chain instability, raw material prices and other adverse factors, GAC Group shouldered the pressure, is expected to achieve positive year-on-year growth in production and sales throughout the year, to achieve a total industrial output value of more than 341.1 billion yuan, an increase of 7%; the total profit and tax of nearly 54.5 billion yuan, an increase of more than 10%. At the same time, the main sub-brands of GAC Group have performed prominently, and the layout of the new four modernizations has been steady and steady, laying a good foundation for the group to accelerate the construction of a new development pattern in the first year of the 14th Five-Year Plan.

Gac Aeon, one of the "Twin Stars", maintained a rapid growth momentum, since May, GAC Aeon terminal delivery has exceeded 10,000 vehicles, and in November, it has achieved the first batch sales of 15,000, and the proportion of private users has increased to 84%. From January to November, GAC Aeon's cumulative sales have exceeded 100,000 vehicles, reaching 105,700 vehicles, which has exceeded expectations and achieved the annual target, and is expected to reach 120,000 vehicles in the whole year. This year, GAC AEG launched three new products, AION Y, AION S Plus and Aion V Plus, further improving the core market model matrix of new energy vehicles in the price range of 100,000-350,000.

In terms of brand marketing, GAC Aean has carried out innovative changes, actively explored the "Checheng store + supermarket display center + direct operation experience center" model, and opened the "direct sales + distribution" dual-track innovation model. On the other hand, GAC Aeon takes the APP as the core, integrates digital marketing and customer service, and enhances user stickiness. At present, the daily active users of GAC Aeon APP have exceeded 80,000. With the rapid growth of sales, GAC Aeon is also accelerating its capacity increase. At present, the expansion project of the Aeon plant is steadily advancing, and it is planned to double the production capacity by early 2022 to reach an annual production capacity of 200,000 units. In addition, the high-profile GAC E-An mixed reform is steadily progressing, and at present, the E-An mixed reform has completed asset restructuring, and the next step will be to launch employee shareholding and A round financing. After that, GAC AEG will make full use of the capital market and seek to go public at an appropriate time to promote the sustainable development of the company.

In 2021, another independent brand, GAC Trumpchi, achieved remarkable results in brand adjustment and stabilized and rebounded. In the first two months of the fourth quarter, it peaked at 35,000 units per month, and sales are expected to be about 300,000 units during the year, making a strong comeback. At the same time, Trumpchi also made a breakthrough in going to sea, as of the end of November, GAC Trumpchi exported a total of 17,000 vehicles, an increase of 60.2% year-on-year, fully achieving the business plan goals.

As of the end of November, GAC Honda's cumulative production and sales this year reached 693,000 units and 702,000 units, respectively, while GAC Toyota's cumulative production and sales reached 720,000 units and 729,000 units, respectively, and production and sales are expected to reach 800,000 units during the year.
