On December 23, the third day of the winter solstice, the Changning people, who got up early in the morning and were intoxicated by the "pink snow" of the winter cherry blossoms, were "tempted" by another news: it turned out that a cold wave had dropped the first snow of the winter for Heaven Mountain, and the Paradise Mountain, where the autumn leaves had not yet fallen, "thousands of trees and pear blossoms" overnight.
People who heard the news rushed out, from morning to afternoon, driving in pairs to Paradise Mountain to enjoy the snow and play with the snow, rushing to this feast of ice and snow. Although the scope and amount of snow are not large, it is mainly concentrated in the area near the highest peak, Pine Nut Mountain, and the place where the snow is thickest by visual inspection is less than 10 centimeters. But this does not affect the interest of Changning people to watch snow and play with snow, after all, in Changning, a place like spring in all seasons, snow is a rare thing.
The snowy Paradise Mountain is located on the northwest side of Changning County, and is called "Water Tower" and "Rushan" by the Changning people. Here, there are 80,000 acres of primeval forest, and the forest has 10,000 acres of rhododendrons, thousands of trees, alpine wetlands and other natural landscapes, which is a paradise for wild animals and plants, and also a wonderland on earth. In recent years, the rare plants known to the outside world, such as water green trees and yew trees, wild animal forest musk, black bears, and white-bellied golden pheasants, all live in the jungle of Paradise Mountain.
Paradise Mountain belongs to the southern extension of Biluo Snow Mountain, spanning the two major river systems of the Nu River and the Lancang River, and the forest area is high and densely forested. The highest peak, Songzi Mountain, is 2875.9 meters above sea level, which is the highest point in Changnyeong. The terrain in the forest area is complex, the slopes are steep, the peaks are protruding, the mountains and rivers are crisscrossed, and the scenery is very different throughout the year, "spring flowers, summer drill fog, autumn autumn leaves, winter snow scenery" is the true portrayal of Paradise Mountain.
It snows every winter on Paradise Mountain, and there is even snow in the spring and summer. But not every time can form a snow scene, because if the snow falls small, the landing will melt, even in winter, sometimes only the snow will not be long, except for the forest farm workers and rangers who accompany the mountains all year round, it is difficult to be seen by outsiders.
The first heavenly mountain snow in my memory was january 18, 2010, and I occasionally looked up in the early morning and saw that paradise mountain was snow-white. So I invited a few friends to drive to Paradise Mountain to see the snow. I remember that time, the snow had just stopped, and the road into Paradise Mountain was covered with snow, and the trees along the way were dressed in thick snowcoats. Shoot all the way to a small depression in the depths of Paradise Mountain. There, except for the stream that still flows, it has all become a white fairy tale world.
The second time was on December 26, 2013. The snowfall this time is relatively wide, and almost all the warm and cool mountains and alpine mountains in Changning have accumulated snow. That morning, I also went to see the snow with a few friends, in the direction of the alpine wetlands in the north of Paradise Mountain. All the way to the beautiful snow scenery, all the way from time to time to stop shooting snow, playing with snow. When passing by a small mountain village, the mountain village in the snow presents a different kind of beauty. Persimmons, peppers and early blooming mountain flowers that still hang on the branches are more delicate in the snow; the pine forest in the snow has become a forest sea snowfield; the meadow in the snow has become a snowy plateau of the Pingchuan River; the wetland grass sea in the snow is connected with the jungle and the white cloud and blue sky. The wetland water surface after the snow, the snow on the dead branches with various shapes, up and down the water surface, constitute a three-dimensional wonderful world.
Another time was on January 11, 2015, but that time it was filmed with residual snow. By the time I went that day, the snow had almost melted, and there was still some snow in some shady places, sparsely piled up in the woods and grass. A few goats walked carelessly in the snow, looking for grass and leaves to eat. The lambs are like naughty children, sprinkling joy on the snow, causing the mother of the sheep to cry out worriedly from time to time.
When they learned the news of the snow, a few friends who loved photography could not sit still, and after eating a few bites of food at noon, they drove straight to Heaven Mountain, but they did not see snow all the way. It wasn't until a long distance after passing the forest farm that I saw a little residual snow on the side of the road, and I knew that the snow really fell to Heaven Mountain, so I rushed all the way to shoot all the way, carefully recording this rare silver world.
The jungle behind the snow is really beautiful, the top of the mountain, the ditch beams, the meadows are covered with not thick snow blankets, some tree branches are still blooming white flowers, and everything in front of you is surprising. In some places, the snow began to melt and became a clear stream, flowing quietly in the forest. The fog formed by the snow lingers, making the already mysterious jungle even more mysterious.
A light wind blew through, and pieces of white snowflakes gently fell from the sky, quietly falling into the snow, and disappeared in the blink of an eye. The snowflakes will return to the team, they will turn into ice, ice flowers, melt into streams together, become clouds and mist into the sky, and feed the mountains in the jungle together.
After the snow, the Paradise Mountain is very cold, but it can't stop the enthusiasm of watching the snowman, and the people who heard the news rushed to the snow, whether children or adults, they all played, patted, laughed, and made a fuss, revealing the most innocent side, and laughter sprinkled between the jungles.
