At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, there were many princes who divided one side, including the famous "White Horse General" Gongsun Zhan. Now, when most people mention Gongsun Zhan, they have no deep impression on him except that they know that it is Liu Bei's former friend. But in fact, the historical Gongsun Zhan was famous and once shocked northern Xinjiang. In addition, the three generals under Gongsun Zhan were also called the most powerful among the people, they were Yan Gang, Zhao Yun, and Tian Yu.

Yan Gang (严纲) is the assassin of Jizhou under Gongsun Zhan. Although the man is not very famous, one of his elite troops called "White Horse Yicong" is famous in the world. Whenever it came time to fight, Bai Ma Yicong could always easily tear apart the Hu people's defenses, and after a big battle, he could go away. It enjoys a high reputation in the Wuhuan and Xianbei ministries. Unfortunately, when Gongsun Zhan was fighting Yuan Shao, because of a command error, Yan Gang and his Baima Yicong were both damaged under the crossbow of Yuan Shao's general Ju Yi.
Gongsun Zhan's second general was the famous Zhao Yun. In the early days, Zhao Yun was also a member of the White Horse Yicong, but later left Gongsun Zhan because of the death of his brother. Seven years later, Zhao Yun met Liu Bei in Yecheng and followed Liu Bei as a personal bodyguard to protect Liu Bei. In the nearly 30 years after following Liu Bei, Zhao Yun has led troops to participate in many battles, and has achieved good results. Not only that, Zhao Yun also provided Liu Bei with a lot of military strategies, independently commanded several battles, and saved Liu Bei from danger several times.
In addition, after Liu Bei attacked Yizhou, Zhao Yun also advised the generals to divide the land and pay for the merits, and vigorously advocated dividing the fields among the people. This enabled the people to live and resume their jobs in peace, so that Liu Bei could smoothly collect the hearts and minds of the People of Bashu. It can be seen from this that what Zhao Yun did was not only the responsibility of a bodyguard, but also more like Liu Bei's advisors in some ways. He was outspoken and devoted to Liu Bei's consideration. Therefore, Zhao Yun was also considered by later generations to be the most perfect figure in the Three Kingdoms period.
The third general was Tian Yu, who was also a former friend of Liu Bei. In the early years, Liu Bei was able to rise in the chaotic world, thanks in part to his knowledge. Although Zhao Yun followed Liu Bei for thirty years, at first, Zhao Yun was only sent by Gongsun Zhan to support him because of the needs of the war. At that time, Liu Bei's most important person was Tian Yu.
At that time, Liu Bei had just risen to power and went to defect to the White Horse general Gongsun Zhan. At that time, Tian Yu was still young and had been under Liu Bei's account. Later, Tian Yu's mother was old and unattended, and Gongsun Zhan did not trust him very much. Therefore, he could only say goodbye to Liu Beiyi and finally chose to join Cao Cao's command.
After following Cao Cao, Tian Yu was appointed as the Taishou of Nanyang, and it did not take long for him to gain Cao Cao's trust because of his flexibility and bravery. After that, Tian Yu was transferred to northern Xinjiang, and successively went out to defeat Wuhuan and other tribes, and also appeased and educated the barbarian tribes in the north, with remarkable military achievements. At this point, Tian Yu's reputation began to make countless Hu people afraid, and he could be said to be the first person to guard northern Xinjiang.
