In 1644, Li Zicheng's army attacked Beijing, and the Jurchens outside Shanhaiguan had just been replaced by the Great Khan, and the new successor was Fu Lin, but the real power at that time was Dolgun. Hearing that the peasant army was attacking Beijing, Dorgon was very excited: with them involving the main force of Daming, the time for us Jurchens to break the barrier was at hand!
So he immediately mobilized his troops and horses and marched to Shanhaiguan. Note that although Nurhaci had previously lectured on the "Seven Great Hatreds" in his life outside Guanwai, when Dolgun sent troops, he did not come to Xingshi at all to ask for guilt, but entered the King of Jingqin, and the slogan he played was: Fight away Li Zicheng and defend Zhu Youjian!
After the Manchus laid siege to Beijing, because the banner they played was King Qin, they did enough drama after entering Beijing, not only posthumously awarding Zhu Youjian the title of "Emperor Zhuang Liezhen", but also burying him with dignity. However, the Manchus were obviously satisfied with this feat, so the emperors of all generations kept this set of shackles, and the locust tree inside was always locked in this way. This continued until 1900, when the Eight-Power Alliance invaded Beijing, and the Manchu imperial family and many ministers fled in fright.
However, Sin Locust was unexpectedly saved -- it turned out that after this group of Eight-Nation Alliances had looted the capital, they had transported a lot of treasures, and finally they accidentally looked at the set of shackles on Sin Huai's body! So they took it off and took it with them as a trophy.
However, sin locust did not live a peaceful life ever since.
In 1966, the whole country staged a big series, countless children took a free car into Beijing to travel, some "knowledgeable" children went to Jingshan, broke the old bark on the body of the sin locust piece by piece and brought it home as a souvenir. By 1971, it had been removed from Jingshan for death and other reasons.
But in 1981, a small tree was planted in the original place to commemorate Chongzhen's death. In 1996, in order to better reproduce the scene of that year, the small tree was removed and an old locust tree was replanted. At this point, the place has finally stabilized.
