The secret agents of the Central Unification Department were clever, lurked for 8 years unharmed, and were arrested for exposing their identities in an idiom

introduction

After the founding of New China, in order to wreak havoc on New China, the Kuomintang reactionaries arranged for a large number of secret agents to secretly lurk when they defeated and retreated from Taiwan. Among them, there are many high-ranking agents from the Central Command or the Military Command. After receiving this task, these agents usually choose to lie dormant first, and once they are called by the Kuomintang reactionaries, they will wait for the opportunity again. Because these agents have undergone professional training, China's public security organs have encountered considerable difficulties in screening them. But as the saying goes: paper can't keep the fire after all, and the fox's tail will be exposed sooner or later.

Among these many lurking agents, there was one who was once a major general of the Kuomintang Central Command, who participated in and directed the "Comparative Field Mouth Massacre" and the "Cangbaitang Incident" in Chongqing, which shocked China and foreign countries; he lurked on the mainland for eight years, and can be said to be one of the longest-lying Kuomintang agents; this person was named Zheng Yunxia.

Secret agent career

In 1907, Zheng Yunxia was born in a family of eunuchs in Linchuan, Jiangxi Province, to a relatively wealthy family, so he received a good education from an early age. After becoming an adult, Zheng Yunxia was admitted to the law department of Shanghai Law School with excellent results, and then, he threw himself into the fourth phase of the Whampoa Military Academy, and became a classmate with Lin Biao, Liu Zhidan and others.

Zheng Yunxia

After the Outbreak of the Northern Expedition, Zheng Yunxia joined He Yingqin's troops, where he served as a captain and judge, and went out with the troops.

Later, Zheng Yunxia, who had studied at a military academy, soon won the favor of the CC faction headed by the two brothers Chen Guofu and Chen Lifu of the Kuomintang and became a member of the central unification agents. Zheng Yunxia still clearly remembers that he joined the "Qingtian White Sun Regiment" (referred to as the Qingbai Regiment) in the basement of Chen Guofu's house and was entrusted with a heavy responsibility, which also bought a curse for Zheng Yunxia to maim democrats in the future.

Chen Guofu and Chen Lifu

"The candlelight in that place is bleak, the air conditioning is forced, and people feel horrible and gloomy."

In 1938, the most famous Battle of Taierzhuang in the history of the Chinese War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression was fought, zheng Yunxia was ordered to lead a team to support the front line, and personally participated in the defense of Tengxian County, which was full of artillery fire, and only after five days of hard work did he wait for the arrival of reinforcements, and then he covered the wounded and sick with blood and broke out first.

After the victory of the War of Resistance, Zheng Yunxia's focus of work changed and he began to work as a secret agent. At that time, the "Cangbaitang Incident" and the "Comparative Field Mouth Massacre" in Chongqing, two historical events with great influence, had Zheng Yunxia's "figure" behind them.

In 1949, in order to prevent the PLA troops from moving west to east, Zheng Yunxia was ordered by Yang Sen, then commander-in-chief of the Chongqing garrison, to form a team called the "East and West Mountain Guerrilla Column", which he intended to use to stop the PLA troops from advancing. But in the end, it was still the mantis arm that used the car and failed to withstand the strong attack of the People's Liberation Army. It didn't take long for this team to collapse in an instant under the fierce offensive of the People's Liberation Army, like birds and beasts. Zheng Yunxia also began his career as a fugitive after the dissolution of the team.

After liberation, Premier Zhou made a directive against Zheng Yunxia:

To be born is to see people, and to die is to see corpses.

However, just when a large number of remnants of the Kuomintang reactionaries were arrested one after another, Zheng Yunxia seemed to have evaporated in the human world, without any news.

Zheng Yunxia's fugitive career

Zheng Yunxia's preferred place of escape at that time was Taiwan, followed by Hainan, which had not yet been liberated, and finally the Golden Triangle region of Yunnan and Burma, where the remnants of the Kuomintang were more active.

If Zheng Yunxia wanted to flee to Taiwan, he could only go to Chongqing and Chengdu to take a plane to leave, but at this time, the Chongqing airport had been destroyed, so Zheng Yunxia had to rush to Chengdu and take the last flight there to Taiwan. But what Zheng Yunxia did not expect was that on the way to Chengdu, the car suddenly broke down on the way, and when he arrived in Chengdu, it was too late, so he missed the last plane.

After that, Zheng Yunxia analyzed the domestic situation at that time and decided to go to the Golden Triangle region of Yunnan and Burma, for which he also specially designed an escape route for himself:

He first crossed the Chishui River at the junction of Sichuan and Qian, then traveled to Yunnan via Guizhou, and finally crossed the border to reach the Golden Triangle, where he defected to the remnants of the Kuomintang Li Mi's Eighth Army.

And absconding requires a large amount of coiling, Zheng Yunxia in desperation, can only find a way to first resell "Yuan Datou" to make up enough coiling. Unfortunately, just as he was bargaining with the money dealers, the People's Liberation Army, which was responsible for rectifying the silver dollar trading market, arrested him. Since our army's trip was only to rectify the order of the trading market, it did not discover Zheng Yunxia's true identity. And Zheng Yunxia of the "Three Caves of the Cunning Rabbit" naturally will not easily expose himself, so he used a false identity to dress up as Zheng Fuchu, a timber manufacturer, which successfully escaped the disaster.

Subsequently, Zheng Yunxia changed his pseudonym and came to a vegetable factory in Fuling to do small work. However, the good times did not last long, and at a complaint meeting held by the vegetable factory a year later, Zheng Yunxia aroused the suspicion of the leaders due to improper speech, and had no choice but to leave the vegetable factory and start the road of escape again.

At the end of 1950, Zheng Yunxia, under the pseudonym Liu Zhenggang, came to Maoshui Town in Wuchuan County, Guizhou Province, and became a freight forwarder who walked the streets and alleys. Since the cargo man is more mobile and has no fixed place to live, he can alleviate his suspicions. From this point, it is not difficult to see that Zheng Yunxia's camouflage skills are extremely strong, but it is not easy to capture him. After that, in order to have more cover, Zheng Yunxia thought of getting married and officially settled here. After all, At this time, Zheng Yunxia is more than forty years old, and men who are not yet married are easy to cause criticism, and the characteristics are too strong.

At this time, a Shandong woman named Shao Chunlan walked into Zheng Yunxia's life, and after a period of getting along, the two became married. Perhaps, at the beginning, Zheng Yunxia was just to better hide his identity, but as the days passed, Zheng Yunxia could not help but develop real feelings for Shao Chunlan. It was also from this time that Zheng Yunxia suddenly felt that he was getting farther and farther away from the major general of the past.

Exposed identity due to "missing and flying"

In 1956, the state restored the supply and marketing cooperative, at this time Zheng Yunxia was an honest person in the eyes of the people around him, so he was transferred to a public-private joint store as an accountant, and he was also very measured in his work, and was praised many times.

Until one day, when Zheng Yunxia and his colleagues were counting the goods and keeping accounts, they suddenly found that the cap of the pen was missing, and Zheng Yunxia made the god say a word: Disappeared. And it was precisely such an unintentional sentence that completely changed the trajectory of the second half of his life.

Zheng Yunxia's political background under the pseudonym Liu Zhenggang is farming, because of his poor family, he has not been to school, and an uneducated farmer suddenly said an idiom such as "flying away", which inevitably makes people around him suspicious.

At this time, Zheng Yunxia also understood that he was already in an invisible net at this moment, no matter how disguised, the blood debt owed in the past would eventually be repaid. So, this time he didn't want to run away again.

On the morning of May 19, 1957, Zheng Yunxia, who had just gotten out of bed, found that two chongqing public security officers appeared in his home.

What should come, will come after all.

At this point, Zheng Yunxia, a senior agent of the Central Command, who had absconded for eight years, was finally arrested and brought to justice.

After interrogation by the public security organs, Zheng Yunxia also confessed to his past and crimes, and confessed. Moreover, according to the survey data at that time, Zheng Yunxia was commended by the leaders many times during his accounting period in Wuchuan County, and his ability was outstanding: the day was long and clear, the accounts were clear, the performance was positive, the work was serious, and he had won the prize three times and the prize five times.

At first, Zheng Yunxia was sentenced to death, but because of his contributions during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, coupled with the new regulations of our Party to punish counter-revolution at that time: you can kill or not kill. In the end, Zheng Yunxia was sentenced to fifteen years in prison. But after the verdict, Zheng Yunxia couldn't believe it, because such a sinful secret agent leader like him still had a chance to live. He never shed tears, and at this moment he completely collapsed, buried his head and cried, eager to shed all the tears of this life.

The end - to be pardoned, grateful for the new China

After the verdict was pronounced, Zheng Yunxia was imprisoned in the Tenth Labor Reform Corps in Sichuan. When he was in prison, Zheng Yunxia had a malignant tumor on the left back of his neck, and when the prison management learned about it, he immediately sent Zheng Yunxia to the hospital for resection. Whenever I think of myself as a spy, I am bent on serving the Kuomintang and living a life of fear, and now that I am a prisoner, the CCP can still care so much about their health and life, and I can't help but feel a strong sense of gratitude to the CCP in my heart, and I have made up my mind to make a good transformation and become a person again.

In 2008, Zheng Yunxia served as a member of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference

On December 15, 1975, the Party Central Committee issued an order

All former Kuomintang party, government, and military special personnel detained were released leniently

decision. Five days after the decision, 68-year-old Zheng received amnesty.

After being released from prison, Zheng Yunxia returned to Wuchuan County, Guizhou Province, where he was arrested, and was organized to work as a high school Chinese teacher and world geography teacher at the local county no. 2 Middle School. Since the 1980s, he has been specially invited to become a "resident member" of the county CPPCC committee and actively engaged in the work of promoting the reunification of the motherland.

On July 10, 2009, Zheng Yunxia completed his legendary life in Guizhou at the age of 102. Until his death, he had a wish that had not been fulfilled:

That is to go back to the battlefield and look at it, to stand in front of history and repent.

This eventually became the regret of his life.
