The movie "My Father and Me": A tribute to the struggle of my father's life

author:Thursday's

From "My Motherland and Me" and "My Hometown and Me" to "Me and My Fathers", the "Me and My" series of films has produced three works. It can be said that this kind of film presented in the form of a collection story has created a new space for film creation, the main theme of Chinese film history. Although it will wait for further testing by the market, so far, the public has not only recognized this model, but also welcomed it. Drawing on the creative experience of the first two films, "My Father and I" has a new exploration in the expression of ideological themes. The exploration is mainly reflected in the theme, the work jumps from the fiery years of war to the ordinary life of the present, and then jumps to the science fiction world of 2050, and the audience's thinking spans time and space with the director's bold innovation. From an aesthetic point of view, this is strongly ideological. "My Father and Me" is a collection of four stories - "Riding the Wind", "Poetry", "Duck Prophet", and "Young Man's Journey". This work takes revolution, construction, reform and opening up and the new era as the historical coordinates. From the perspective of the subject matter, it is scattered, but it is scattered and concentrated. Starting from different historical perspectives, the creators observe the life of their fathers from the special perspective of family relations, and tell the struggle process of all classes and groups not forgetting their original intentions and forging ahead for the interests of the motherland, so as to reflect the endless life and inheritance of the Chinese national spirit and the feelings of the family and the country under the changes of the times. The first unit, "Riding the Wind", is based on a heroic unit with outstanding achievements in the War of Resistance Against Japan, the Jizhong Cavalry Regiment, and in order to protect the masses from evacuating and fighting with the Japanese army, it has created a portrait of the people of Jizhong who jointly resisted the Japanese invasion. At the critical moment, the heroes of the cavalry regiment charged in the rain of bullets, showing their fearless heroism. The special anti-Japanese elements of Jizhong such as green yarn tents, large knife teams, and cavalry have also been truly and vividly expressed, bringing the audience a rich and unique viewing experience. The second unit, "Poetry", uses the delicate emotions of women to reproduce the tenacity and tenderness of astronauts. The daughter in the film grew up to become an astronaut and traveled to space, and the narration of the crying song deeply touched the audience and made them express their heartfelt respect for the dedication and sacrifice of the astronauts. If the first two stories are more heroic narratives, then the last two stories, "Duck Prophet" and "Young Walk", mainly tell the stories of ordinary people. "Duck Prophet" is based on the story behind the birth of China's first TELEVISION commercial, writing about the spirit of an ordinary man's father who dared to be the first to eat crabs. The director suddenly extended his creative brushstrokes into the life of the alley in Shanghai, taking this alley as the background, reflecting the reform spirit of Chinese seeking innovation and change in that era, and conveying the concept that reform is adapted to the call of the times. In contrast, "Young People's Walk", a work with a strong science fiction charm, brings the audience not only the feeling of reality, but also the imagination of the future. The work uses the robot "Xing Yihao" to shoulder a special mission from 2050 back to 2021, meeting a teenager with a scientific dream, and the two accidentally form a pair of "temporary" father and son. Under the influence of the robot father, the teenager has strengthened his determination to pursue the dream of science, which will bring a different life enlightenment to the current youth group.
