He was Chiang Kai-shek's chief bodyguard, and when he stood guard, he snored and snored, waking Chiang Kai-shek up

As we all know, Chiang Kai-shek has always been extremely suspicious and does not trust outsiders easily, especially the guards around him, from the early Wang Shihe and Xuan Tiewu to the later Yu Jishi, Qian Dajun, Shi Zude and others, all of whom are from Zhejiang, and many of them are his relatives.

Today, let's take a look at one of them: Shi Zude.

He was Chiang Kai-shek's chief bodyguard, and when he stood guard, he snored and snored, waking Chiang Kai-shek up

Shi Zude was born in 1900 in Zhuji, Zhejiang, in 1924, under the recommendation of Xuanxia's father, Shi Zude and 10 other Zhejiang Zhuji compatriots applied for the Huangpu Military Academy together, and later, these 10 people produced a total of 7 lieutenant generals and 3 major generals, and the success rate was amazing!

However, although Shi Zude is a high lieutenant general, he has not fought many battles and has very few stories, the reason for which is his identity as "chief of the guards".

Shi Zude has long served as the head of the guard regiment of the Military Commission and the captain of the National Government Guard Corps, especially after serving as the chief of the guard room of Chiang Kai-shek, he always accompanied Chiang Kai-shek's side and no longer led troops to fight, and naturally his reputation was not obvious.

Speaking of which, there is another joke.

When Chiang Kai-shek slept at night, someone had to stand guard outside the door, and once, just when Shi Zude was on duty, he ended up being busy for a day, standing at the door and actually going to sleep, and it didn't matter if he slept, and the purring sounded a shocking sound, which woke up Chiang Kai-shek, who had just fallen asleep.

Good fellow, I told you to stand guard, but you slept so soundly and woke me up, but you can imagine how much fire Chiang Kai-shek had in his heart, and scolded Shi Zude.

However, Chiang Kai-shek also regretted it afterwards, after all, Shi Zude was loyal to himself, hard work, and that day was indeed too tired during the day, so he fell asleep while standing guard, so within a few days, Chiang Kai-shek specially sent someone to comfort him.

Interestingly, since then, Shi Zude has never appeared at Chiang Kai-shek's door at night, is he not willing to do it? Of course not, but he quietly set up a duty room next door so that he would not disturb Chiang Kai-shek when he snored when he slept.

Of course, he would not tell Chiang Kai-shek this secret, and only a few of his henchmen knew about it.

Because of Shi Zude's loyalty, Chiang Kai-shek had to take him with him every time he traveled. In August 1947, after Chiang Kai-shek received Hu Zongnan's "good news", he immediately left for a secret visit to Yan'an, and his defense work at that time was in charge of Shi Zude. That night, Chiang Kai-shek stayed at the diplomatic hotel, and Shi Zude led an armed guard outside the hotel, staying up all night.

Shi Zude also had a major event, that is, on the eve of the fall of the Kuomintang, he delivered gold to Taiwan.

As early as the end of 1948, Chiang Kai-shek began to plan the transport of gold reserves to Taiwan, in order to ensure smooth transportation, Chiang Kai-shek specially ordered Shi Zude to serve as the commander of the Xiamen garrison, and at the same time used Wang Yifen as the director of the Taipei Financial Branch, so that the entire transportation chain was completely controlled by Chiang Kai-shek.

On the morning of January 20, 1949, several naval ships laden with gold and silver dollars were preparing to leave offshore, less than 18 hours after Chiang Kai-shek officially stepped down. However, Shi Zude, who has already taken office, has already completed his preparations in Xiamen.

On the one hand, Shi Zude acted meticulously, and almost did not miss a single wind in the whole process; on the other hand, the troops he led took over the defense of Xiamen with full authority, opening the door for the gold transportation operation and ensuring that the gold transportation task was completed in early February.

After going to Taiwan, Shi Zude continued to be highly valued by Chiang Kai-shek, serving as a lieutenant general of the "Ministry of National Defense" and the director of the office of the "Joint Logistics General Command" until he retired from the army in 1959.

On July 5, 1972, Shi Zude died of illness at the age of 72.
