Recently, the food safety problem of schools in many parts of China has aroused concern, is school food safety in Guangzhou? Can the food students eat traceable? How will schools ensure the safety of students' food and public welfare?
The reporter visited and learned that in the kindergarten, there is generally a meal demand of two or two meals, so food safety issues have also received more attention.
It is understood that in the South Bank Road Campus of the First Commercial Staff Kindergarten in Guangzhou, a total of 318 students from 10 classes will eat and drink in the kindergarten, and in addition to the campus of the kindergarten in Datong Road, nearly 600 to 700 students will eat in the kindergarten, and the age group of students is 3 to 6 years old.
The reporter learned that in 2019, the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Education issued the "Notice on Further Strengthening the Management of School Food Safety" (hereinafter referred to as the "Notice"), proposing ten measures to further strengthen the management of school food safety, including "carrying out a monthly flight inspection", "100% coverage of the bright kitchen stove", and "fully implementing the school centralized meal accompaniment system"... and so on.

The "Notice" requires that schools must be equipped with full-time (part-time) food safety management personnel and nutrition and health management personnel, and to ensure that the training rate of school canteen leaders, food safety administrators and main practitioners reaches 100%. At the same time, promote 100% coverage of "bright kitchen bright stoves", disclose the food processing process through video or transparent glass windows, glass walls, etc., and encourage the use of the Internet and other information means to strengthen the supervision of the whole process of food source, procurement, processing and production.
The "Notice" makes it clear that the quantitative assessment level of food safety in school canteens must reach B level or above (including B grade). Canteens that have not reached grade B shall not continue to operate.
In addition, the school listens to the opinions of the parents' committee in an appropriate manner on major matters involving centralized school meals, such as food procurement, canteen management, and selection of feeding units, so as to ensure parents' right to know, participate in, and supervise. Encourage qualified primary and secondary schools and kindergartens to establish a system for parents to accompany meals, and the opinions and suggestions put forward by schools on meal trial meals should be promptly investigated and handled, and feedback should be given to parents.
