On December 19, the GMC Hummer EV pickup truck has officially rolled off the production line and started user delivery. At present, GM is actively preparing for the establishment of a high-end import business, and has entered a substantial preparatory stage, and strives to introduce GMC pure electric Hummer into the Chinese market in the future.
The GMC Pure Electric Hummer Super Pickup is based on OTN, GM's global electric vehicle platform, and is available in four different configuration versions: Edition 1, EV3X, EV2X and EV2. The basic version of the EV2 is priced at $79,995, equivalent to about 510,000 yuan, and the top model, the Edition 1, is priced at 110295 US dollars, equivalent to about 700,000 yuan. Currently delivering consumers is Edition 1, with ev3X to be released in the fall of 2022, EV2X in spring 2023, and EV2 in spring 2024.
The appearance of the GMC Hummer EV pickup truck as a whole follows the design style of the classic Hummer model, the iconic porous vertical grille, the nearly vertical front windshield, the high waist line on the side of the body and the narrow-edged glass, etc. to a certain extent inherit the genes of the previously discontinued Hummer model, with the 3537-inch Goodyear mud tire and the roof that can be moved in a divided area, which is very hard. At the same time, the new Hummer EV also adds many new era elements, such as LED through light sets, multi-function tailgates, H-type unique taillights, etc.
In terms of interior, the car adopts the popular dual-screen design, equipped with a large 13.4-inch infotainment screen and a 12.3-inch digital dashboard, and its panoramic image camera can provide up to 18 different views, further enhancing the vehicle's sense of technology. And during driving, the off-road components in infotainment displays and instrument clusters inform the driver of the vehicle's torque output, lock-up differential status, tire pressure, pitch and roll angles, torque distribution, and more.
The first premier Hummer Edition 1 model to be launched will feature a zoned movable roof, Watts to Freedom mode, adaptive shock absorbers, extreme off-road kits (underbody armor, rock sliders and 35-inch tires), as well as Crab Walk four-wheel steering mode, Super Cruise and other configurations.
The EV3X model features a three-motor powertrain with adaptive air suspension, Watts to Freedom mode, Crab Walk and active torque vectoring. The Hummer EV2X will offer the CrabWalk, adaptive air suspension and two-motor electric powertrain, while the most basic EV2 base model will abandon most off-road performance features.
In the power part, the new Hummer EV provides a total of 3 sets of power systems with single motor, double motor and three motors, the maximum power can exceed 1000 horsepower, the maximum torque can exceed 15592N·m, and the Watts to Freedom mode accelerates in 100 kilometers in only about 3 seconds. Aoteneng battery pack provides it with a pure electric range of more than 520 kilometers, supports 800 volts high voltage DC fast charging, and uses a 350kW high-speed charging pile to increase the cruising range of 160 kilometers in 10 minutes.
