Previously, on October 30, the 11th edition of Guangming Daily published an article by Jia Lianxiang, associate professor of the Center for The Research and Protection of Unearthed Documents of Tsinghua University, entitled "Tsinghua Jian on the New Discovery of the "Encyclopedia" of the Warring States Period", which also discussed the matter of "The Son of the Yellow Emperor". Further ahead, the academic journal "Cultural Relics", which is supervised by the State Administration of Cultural Heritage and sponsored by the Cultural Relics Publishing House, published the article "Tsinghua Jian ##_FORMAT_LT_#Wuji##_FORMAT_GT_##中的黄帝故事", which said: "The Yellow Emperor also (has) Zi Yue Temple Worm (蚩尤), who is an adult, is a five soldiers."
Cheng Hao pointed out that there were many previous theories about The origin of Xuan You, such as the son of emperor Yan ("History of Lu"), the minister of the Red Emperor ("Yi Zhou Shu Taste Mai"), the minister of the Yellow Emperor ("Guan Zi" and "Yue Zhi Shu"), or the minister of Shennong ("Shi Ben" Song Zhen Note). Jian Wen said that Xuan You was the son of the Yellow Emperor, which was unseen and unexpected. However, a detailed history of the historical data can still find some clues to these statements. The Chronicle of The Princes Since the Jianyuan Dynasty records that Tian Qianqiu wrote to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty: "Sons make their father soldiers, and their sins should be flogged." The wrath of father and son has existed since ancient times. Father of Xuan Youpan, the Yellow Emperor waded into the river. "None of this has been conclusive before. Wang Zijin (a famous expert in the history of the Qin and Han Dynasties, and an honorary first-class professor at Chinese Min University) once judged: "Perhaps it shows that there were other plots in the legend of Xuanyou at that time that cannot be known to the present people", which is really insightful. From this point of view, the legends in the "Five Ages" that Xuan especially the son of the Yellow Emperor and the rebellious father of the soldier after becoming an adult are still circulating in the Han Dynasty.
The reporter consulted the "History of the First Five Emperors of the Benji Dynasty", the first part of which tells the history of the Yellow Emperor, which contains a description of Xuan You: "At the time of Xuanyuan, the Shennong clan declined, the princes invaded each other, and tyrannized the people, and the Shennong clan Wasengzheng. Therefore, Xuanyuan was accustomed to using Gange, so as not to enjoy it, and the princes were salty and guests. And Xuan you is the most violent, Mo Nengfa. "Xuanyu is in trouble, and does not need the emperor's order." Therefore, the Yellow Emperor was a prince of the Zhengshi Division, and fought with Xuan You in the wilderness of Zhuolu, so he killed Xuan You. And the princes Xianzun Xuanyuan was the Son of Heaven, and the Daishen Nong clan was for the Yellow Emperor. ”
From the above text, it can be judged that "蚩尤" is written in the "princes" and is "the most violent" among the princes, which means that the identity of Xuan You is a prince; in addition, "Xuan You is chaotic and does not use the imperial order", a "chaotic" word, and a "no imperial order", indicating that Xuan You is the following offender. However, the First Five Emperors of the Chronicle of History does not say that Xuan You was the son of the Yellow Emperor.
However, in the "Chronology of The Princes Since the Jianyuan Dynasty", there is indeed a letter written by Tian Qianqiu to Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, "Sons make fathers and soldiers, and the crimes should be flogged." The wrath of father and son has existed since ancient times. Xuan Youpan's father, the Yellow Emperor waded into the river", and has a personal introduction to Tian Qianqiu: home is in Changling, "the book is the intention, worship as the Great Hongqi." Zheng He was a chancellor for four years, sealed three thousand households, and died of illness when Emperor Zhao was in power."
However, instead of mentioning the father-son relationship between the Yellow Emperor and Xuan You in the main text of "The First Book of the Book", Sima Qian, instead used fragmentary language in the chronology to borrow Tian Qianqiu's mouth to say "Xuan You judged the father", still bringing the reader a little question: Is it not certain enough?
The description of the story of the Yellow Emperor in Qinghua's jianwen basically revolves around the story of "Yellow Emperor Zhan Xuan You", which is not uncommon in ancient books, many of which can be read in contrast to other documents, and the biggest breakthrough in the current understanding is the narrative of "Xuan You is the son of the Yellow Emperor", which provides a new perspective for today's people to observe the legend of "Yellow Emperor Zhan Xuan You".
The story of the Yellow Emperor Zhan Xuan You was first recorded in the Ancient Chinese Book of Mountains and Seas, the Classic of Mountains and Seas, the Great Wilderness Of the North Classic: There are those who are connected to the Kun Mountains, there are platforms of common work, and the shooters do not dare to go north. There are people dressed in green clothes, known as the Yellow Emperor's female rays. Xuan You made a military campaign against the Yellow Emperor, and the Yellow Emperor was the field of Jizhou that Ying Long attacked. Ying Dragon Livestock Water. Xuan You asked the wind and rain to master the wind and rain, and let the wind and rain prevail. The Yellow Emperor was the daughter of the heavens, and the rain stopped, so she killed You. The stingray cannot be restored, and the dwelling is not rainy. Shu Junyan is the emperor, and the north of chishui is placed behind. Shu Jun is Tian Zu. When the time comes, the one who wants to drive away, lingers: "God goes north!" Remove the waterway first, and break through the ditch. ”
In the historical legend, the Great Battle of the Yellow Emperor Zhan You was deified, and both sides used the divine magic power, and the Wind Bo and The Rain Division all came to participate in the battle. In the end, the Yellow Emperor defeated the Jiuli tribe and killed Xuan You. This famous battle shocked Ji Xuanyuan at that time, and the chiefs of various tribes called him "Heavenly Son" and honored him as "Yellow Emperor". In the Qinghua Jianwen, in addition to the female rays (called "ghost rays" in the Jianwen), there are also the gods "Gao Wei" and the Four Wilds and other assistant ministers of the Yellow Emperor, and there is a detailed division of labor. Jia Lianxiang believes that in the process of recording the battles of the Yellow Emperor and Xuan You, the Jianwen also involved many formations, orders, and other contents, and even three battle songs with pipe music, "Wu Zhuang", "Zheng Kuang", and "Xi Shang", which are also of great significance to the study of pre-Qin military history. ”
Although the Yellow Emperor and Xuan You were father and son in Qinghua Jian's Five Chronicles, in the face of Xuan You's rebellious behavior, the Yellow Emperor still punished him with capital punishment. Cheng Hao examined that previously, the theory of the different places of xuan you's body after his death was found in the Wei and Jin dynasty documents "Imperial Records". There is a similar record in Ma Wangdui's "Sixteen Classics and Rectification". The ending of Xuanyu is "capital punishment", but the record after "capital punishment" is different.
If Xuan You and the Yellow Emperor were not related by blood, and Xuan You was only a rebellious prince who threatened the rule of the Yellow Emperor, the Yellow Emperor seized Xuan You and in order to vent his inner anger, he imposed capital punishment on Xuan You—in that distant era, this may also be a common punishment at that time; if Xuan You was really the son of the Yellow Emperor, how should he understand it? From the point of view of capital punishment alone, there is an explanation: the depth of love, the depth of hatred.
On the whole, the Yellow Emperor's extermination of the dragon can also be understood as "great righteousness and extermination of relatives". The so-called "Xuan you rebelled against his father" can be considered to be a betrayal of the heavens and the love of the people, and is a moral "contrarian son". Judging from the simple text, Xuan you trained soldiers and made weapons, harmed people everywhere for the sake of the world, and the Yellow Emperor sent troops to suppress them, starting from the great righteousness of the tribe, not handling it with "pro" or "not pro", and doing official business.
Sima Qian's "Records of History" is well-documented and generally considered to be more conclusive, and the Qinghua Jian "Records of History" all record that Xuan you is especially the son of the Yellow Emperor, and the father-son relationship between Xuan You and the Yellow Emperor may really not be blind, but needs to be treated seriously.
