This festival originated in honor of the Yellow Emperor of Xuanyuan. Legend has it that March 3 is the birth anniversary of the Yellow Emperor, as the saying goes, "March 3, born Xuanyuan".
The worship of the ancestors of the Yellow Emperor and the spring tour in the suburbs was originally a meaningful thing, but there are historical records that this festival gradually disappeared after the Song Dynasty.
