The Song Dynasty almost produced a second Wu Zetian

Looking at Liu E's life, there has always been a question that has plagued everyone - Liu E, a woman, does she want to learn Wu Zetian, come to a yellow robe, and ascend the throne as the emperor?

The general consensus among historians on this issue is that this woman thinks, and it is not an ordinary thought. Otherwise, during the period of listening to the government, Liu E would not use those two "year names".

The so-called era name is actually the "name of the store" in this country. For the emperor, a good store name will help his store to operate normally. Therefore, when choosing an era name, the emperor must have been careful and striving for perfection.

When the Song Dynasty was first established, Taizu Zhao Kuangyin longed for the prosperity of the country, so the first era was called "Jianlong", intending to establish a prosperous and prosperous country. After Taizong Zhao Guangyi succeeded to the throne, he hoped that everyone would not rebel, so his first year name was "Taiping Xingguo". When Song Zhenzong succeeded to the throne, the country was worried about internal and external troubles, so it was named "Xianping", hoping that the world would be peaceful.

Of course, although the era name was expected by the emperor, it was not allowed in many cases. For example, Song Zhenzong's "Tianxi" year name was originally hoping for "happy events from heaven", but there were no happy events, but God gave him a bunch of locusts and "hat demons......

So, when Liu E lowered the curtain to listen to politics, what era name did she use?

According to historical records, when Liu E hung the curtain to listen to the government, he used two era names, which were called: Tiansheng and Mingdao. It is these two era names that expose Liu E's "ambition".

As we said earlier, the so-called "Heavenly Sage" is the "Two Sage". Liu E wants to tell the world clearly that the world today is governed by the queen mother and the emperor.

The so-called "Ming Dao" is "the way of the sun and the moon". Liu E told the world that the emperor is the sun, the queen mother is the moon, the sun and the moon are bright, and the yin and yang are coordinated, so that the world can shine.

Later, Liu E's idea of era names was stolen by the Empress Dowager Cixi in later generations. When choosing the era name for her son, the era name chosen by the Empress Dowager Cixi was called "Tongzhi".

Since Liu E wants to be the emperor, Liu E also knows clearly that if you want to be the emperor, you must let the people below have the same heart as you. Therefore, the expulsion of Wang Zeng, who disagrees with his political views, has become a necessary thing.

Wang Zeng is a man who lacks cunning than Ding, lacks steadiness than Wang Dan, and lacks wisdom compared to Wang Qinruo. However, he is an official with a bottom line and no compromise. On this basis alone, Wang Zeng was stronger than all of the above.

Over the years, although Wang Zeng and Liu E have a good relationship, as long as it involves major rights and wrongs, Wang Zeng will not hesitate to stand on Song Renzong's side and work against Liu E. This made him a confidant of Liu E.

Coupled with the death of "that person", Wang Zeng lost an important ally, so Liu E dared to attack Wang Zeng more easily.

This person who makes Liu E extremely jealous is known for his "outspokenness, loyalty and integrity", the imperial history of the Great Song Dynasty, and Lu Zongdao, who was nicknamed "Prime Minister of Fish Head".

Lu Zongdao (966-1029), a native of Bozhou, was a famous minister of the Northern Song Dynasty.

Throughout the twenty-four histories, ministers can rely on a victorious war, a political achievement of loving the people, a beautiful article, or even a just right sycophant (such as He Shen) to achieve the goal of getting ahead. However, there is no minister who "relies on" something more evil than Lu Zongdao's.

What Lu Zongdao relied on was a meal of wine.

  What's going on?

According to historical records, after Lu Zongdao entered the imperial court, he was obscure because he had no backstage and doorway, and his "classmates" made a fortune, and he was still a small attendant.

Many people have always had the misconception that officials in the Song Dynasty were paid a lot of money and were well paid. In fact, the polarization of officials in the Song Dynasty was extremely obvious. The salaries of those in high positions of power are astonishingly high and they are abundant, while those who are small and small have pitiful salaries and find it difficult to support their families.

Because of his humble position, Lu Zongdao could not receive a few dollars a month, and could only barely survive in a remote place far from the palace.

At that time, there was a street next to Lu Zong's Taoist house, and there was a tavern called "Renhe Restaurant" in the street, with a mellow wine aroma and a fair price.

After resting, Lu Zongdao will come here to have a few drinks to relieve the pressure. At that time, the Song Dynasty clearly stipulated that officials were not allowed to drink alcohol in public, so when drinking, Lu Zongdao would change into civilian clothes and choose a hidden corner. For so many years, he has not been found.

One day in the first year of Tianxi (1017), the emperor wanted to revise an article and urgently summoned Lu Zongdao to the palace. After the eunuch came to Lu's house, he didn't see Lu Zongdao. The people of the Lu family did not dare to make a noise, so they asked the eunuch to wait at home, and they went to the "Renhe Restaurant" to find Lu Zongdao.

Soon, the family found Lu Zongdao and took him back to Lu Mansion. After seeing Lu Zongdao, the eunuch immediately read out the holy decree and returned to the palace with him.

On the way back to the palace, the eunuch smelled the smell of wine on Lu Zongdao's body, his face was full of displeasure, and said: "What did you do just now? The smell of alcohol, if the emperor blames the lord, how can it be good? Now that the lord is late for drinking, the emperor will ask him, and ask the lord to find a suitable excuse to inform me, and I will help you to fulfill your lie." ”

The eunuch had good intentions, but unexpectedly, Lu Zongdao replied: "If the emperor is to blame, I will answer truthfully, just now I was drinking in the tavern." ”

The eunuch frowned and said, "That's ...... Not good. If you don't pay attention to etiquette like this, I'm afraid that the emperor will blame the adults. ”

Lu Zongdao continued to answer: "How can it be? Drinking is human nature. If you conceal the facts, you are guilty of deceiving the king. ”

After hearing these words, the eunuch stopped talking and thought, "There is something wrong with this man." Everyone should show their best side in front of the emperor in order to make a good impression. But this Lu Zongdao did the opposite, so what good was this? No wonder he was in his forties, and he was still a small attendant officer......

Speechless all the way, after coming to the palace, Song Zhenzong really asked about Lu Zongdao's tardiness. Regarding this question, the eunuch had to tell the truth: "Lu Zongdao was drinking in the tavern, so he was late." ”

Song Zhenzong was furious and scolded bitterly: "How can you go to a tavern to drink as an official of the imperial court? Don't you know that this is illegal?"

Lu Zongdao replied: "The minister knows that officials can't drink in taverns, but the minister's family is poor and doesn't even have a complete set of drinking utensils, so he can only go to the tavern to drink." Moreover, when the minister went to drink, he had already changed into civilian clothes and did not wear official uniforms. The people there did not know the ministers. The minister thought that it should not damage the official system. ”

Lu Zongdao's words are reasonable: "The reason why I went to the tavern to drink was because the minister was honest, and the minister had been wearing civilian clothes and went ......"

Song Zhenzong was moved by Lu Zongdao's loyal and simple character, in his heart, only a person like Lu Zongdao who told the truth and was down-to-earth and honest was a qualified official in the Song Dynasty!

So, Song Zhenzong did not blame Lu Zongdao for drinking and making mistakes, but promoted him to the "Right Righteous Speech Chapter" and entrusted him with important tasks.

In this way, through the matter of drinking in the tavern, Lu Zongdao was rewarded by the emperor and began to soar. Prime Minister of Fishhead

Because of drinking in the tavern, Lu Zongdao was appreciated by the emperor and was promoted to the right righteous word of advice. This official position is responsible for picketing hundreds of officials, and can speak directly to the emperor.

At the beginning, Song Zhenzong admired Lu Zongdao very much, and he was able to accept his opinions with an open mind, but after a long time, he couldn't stand it a little and began to get tired of this person.

Because, Lu Zongdao doesn't know what it means to "accept it when you see it".

If Song Zhenzong accepted one of his opinions, he would write another 10 articles; if Song Zhenzong adopted 10 of his opinions, he would write another 100 articles; and if Song Zhenzong adopted 100 of his opinions, he would write 10 more articles...... In the face of such a person who doesn't know what to do, who can stand it?

Moreover, like other outspoken ministers, Lu Zongdao also maintained a glorious tradition of scolding.

In his eyes, the emperor is an example in the world, and every move must be strict, without the slightest sloppiness. As long as the emperor makes a mistake, even some trivial mistakes, Lu Zongdao will correct them in a book, one after another, until the emperor corrects it.

Because of these "feats" of Lu Zongdao, the emperor was annoyed! Every time he held a court meeting, looking at the "master" below who was gushing, spitting, pointing fingers at himself, and aggressive, Song Zhenzong wanted to dismiss Lu Zongdao.

What is commendable is that in terms of self-knowledge, Lu Zongdao is stronger than Kou Zhun. After discovering that the emperor did not like him, Lu Zongdao took the initiative to hand in a resignation.

According to historical records, Lu Zongdao's recital was to the effect: "Now, Your Majesty does not listen to my advice and thinks that I am a person who has won fame and fame." In order to prove that I am not an idler who eats a corpse, I ask to resign to protect my innocence. ”

Originally, Song Zhenzong planned to depose Lu Zongdao, but after reading the twists and turns, he thought about it carefully, although Lu Zongdao was very annoying, he never attached himself to the powerful, devoted himself to the country, and always thought about the Jiangshan Sheji and the people of Limin. How could such a brave and loyal minister be easily dismissed?

After thinking about this, Song Zhenzong comforted Lu Zongdao, and when he was retaining, in order to express his determination, he also deliberately wrote the two big characters "Lu Zhi" and pasted them on the wall of the Jinluan Treasure Hall to remind himself not to forget Lu Zongdao's integrity and loyalty.

Later, when Song Zhenzong was critically ill, he did not forget to tell Liu E that he would reuse Lu Zongdao and make him a minister of Tuogu.

Of course, the reason why the emperor reused Lu Zongdao when he was dying was not only that he was honest and loyal and worthy of trust, but also that he should stay behind so as to restrain the ministers and Liu E!

In the first year of Qianxing (1022), Zhao Heng died of illness, Liu E "ascended the throne", according to the last instructions of the first emperor, Liu E promoted Lu Zongdao, crowned him with Zuo Yude, Zhilong Tuge and other official positions, and promoted him to become the deputy prime minister.

Liu E's appointment made the imperial court never stop.

Because when the court deliberates, Lu Zongdao does not give face to anyone. As long as he thinks that there is a "flaw", or there is something hidden, he will desperately oppose it, and he will not make the matter "the truth" revealed.

When Liu E listened to the government, Cao Yong ranked first among the hundred officials, he was arrogant and domineering, and he was known in history as "everyone looks sideways and dare not speak". However, every time Cao Yu saw Lu Zongdao, he would obediently walk away, lest he provoke him.

Based on this matter alone, the degree of fear of the hundred officials for Lu Zongdao can be imagined. Later, everyone gave Lu Zongdao a "nickname" - the prime minister of the fish head.

There are two reasons for this nickname: first, there is a "fish" on the word "Lu", which is consistent with Lu Zongdao's surname; second, Lu Zongdao's personality and speech are as hard as a fish's head, and they cannot be cooked or chewed.

In fact, in the official history, the reason why Lu Zongdao was admired by all the people and became a role model for the ministers, and he was also given the title of "Prime Minister of Fish Head" was because he did a lot of things to suppress Liu E's forces and maintain the orthodox imperial power.
