Finally, the Soviet Union at that time also looked at our country and gathered a million troops to the south to prepare to attack our country. For these three reasons, our army needs a quick battle, so we planted mines to prevent the Vietnamese army from pursuing.
The second is the destruction of all strategic resources. After the outbreak of the Vietnam War, our army provided them with a large amount of strategic materials, and after the end of the war, these materials were not brought back, and some of them were used by them to harass the people on our border, and some of them were randomly piled together. In order not to let these substances continue to remain in the hands of this white-eyed wolf in Vietnam and let them continue to use them against our country, General Xu Shiyou ordered them to be destroyed. This effectively weakened the military strength of the Vietnamese army, although they also captured a large number of American weapons at that time, but those weapons were too advanced for them to be used, and our weapons were very suitable for them.
The third is to destroy Vietnam's important heavy industry. Industry is the most basic facility of a country's military and economic development, and when our army retreats, it is destroyed, resulting in a great impact on their economic development, and there is no way to recover in a period of time, combined with the destruction of their strategic materials, even if they want to continue to oppose our country, there is no time and economic support. Because the first thing they have to do is to restore their domestic industry and restore economic development, otherwise their country may face extinction.
Therefore, these three orders issued by General Xu Shiyou were to recruit and subdue the enemy, so that they simply did not have any extra energy to continue to wage war with our country. Until now, Vietnam's economy and industry have no way to recover, and they have to rely on other countries' financial support to survive. Because they thought that if they leaned on the big tree of the Soviet Union, they would be able to live a good life, so they offended our country, and what they did not expect was that the Soviet Union itself was too busy to take care of itself, and finally had to announce its disintegration.
