On December 14, the 2021 Annual Meeting of the Exhibition Professional Committee of the Sichuan Provincial Museum Society and the Seminar on "Diversified Interpretation of Museum Exhibitions" were held in Mianyang, Sichuan.

This year, the 84 member units of the Exhibition Committee of the Sichuan Museum Society held a total of 352 exhibitions, including 330 temporary exhibitions and 22 basic exhibitions. From the "500 Years of European Painting" in Chengdu Museum to the "Exhibition of the Three Kingdoms" in Chengdu WuhouCi Museum, from the Jinsha Site Museum's "Looking Back at Chang'an - Shaanxi Tang Dynasty Cultural Relics Essence Exhibition", to the Sichuan Museum's "Water Wide Mountain, Long Stream Skyline - Special Exhibition of Bronze Civilization in the Yangtze River Basin", and the basic exhibition of Yibin City Museum, "I Live in the Head of the Yangtze River - Yibin History and Culture Exhibition", "Four Seasons of Nostalgia - Yibin Folk Customs Special Exhibition", "Wine Capital Wine Style - Yibin Wine Culture Special Exhibition" opening... The theme of the exhibition is diverse, the quality is constantly improving, and the display methods are more diverse. On the basis of upgrading and transforming the basic exhibitions, each museum closely follows the social hotspots and holds special exhibitions in combination with local civilization.

At the meeting, Wang Fang, executive director of the Sichuan Provincial Museum Society and deputy director of the Chengdu Jinsha Ruins Museum, read out the list of 7 newly admitted member units and announced the organizers of the 2022 annual meeting; Zhu Zhangyi, the head of the director unit of the special committee and the director of the Chengdu Jinsha Ruins Museum, made a report on the work of the special committee in 2021 at the meeting, and summarized the exhibition work of the member units in the past year, hoping that in the future, the museums will learn from each other and jointly improve the level of exhibition, and the special committee will continue to build a good communication bridge. Help expand interlibrary exchanges and promote the common development of museums in the province.

In the seminar held at the same time, a number of experts shared the whole process of exhibition implementation from multiple dimensions such as curatorial concept, formal design, cultural relics installation, cultural relics preventive protection, and digital display around the theme of "diversified interpretation of museum exhibitions", from the three aspects of exhibition planning and implementation, innovation and practice of exhibition exhibitions, and diversified expression and dissemination of exhibitions, combined with specific cases, from multiple dimensions such as curatorial concept, formal design, cultural relics installation, cultural relics preventive protection, and digital display, which provided useful guidance for the development of future museum exhibition work.

At present, major museums in Sichuan Province have successively released their exhibition plans for 2022. The Jinsha Site Museum will hold the "Dayun Jinsha - 20 Years of Golden Sands Discovery Xu Liaoyuan Design Art Exhibition", "Kaleidoscope of Civilization - Syria Ancient Cultural Relics Exhibition", "Tiger Tiger Shengfu - Year of the Tiger New Year Zodiac Cultural Relics Picture Group Exhibition", "Jinsha in Your Eyes - Ancient Shu Culture Theme Photography Exhibition", "Yuhui Jinsha - Two-Week Period Jade Culture Special Exhibition (tentative name)", "Microscopic Works - British V&A Museum Gilbert Boutique Exhibition (tentative name)", etc. The Sichuan Museum will soon launch the "Asian Civilization Exhibition" in 2022, and the wonderful exhibitions such as "Mountains, High Waters, Wide Horizons - Special Exhibition of Bronze Civilization in the Yangtze River Basin" and "Eternal Heart - Special Exhibition of Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army in Sichuan" will also continue until the beginning of 2022.
