From December 26th to 30th, the 2nd Guangzhou Contemporary Art Fair will be held at Guangzhou Poly World Trade Center Expo Center.
The fair invited 33 first-line galleries from Asia, Europe and the Americas to exhibit high-quality modern and contemporary paintings, sculptures, videos, installations and multimedia art works from all over the world, and strive to build Guangzhou Contemporary Art Fair into one of the most influential contemporary art fairs in Asia. At the same time, it also provides a platform for exchanges between local galleries in Guangzhou, creating more opportunities and possibilities for the development of Guangzhou's contemporary art ecology.

According to reports, the second Guangzhou Contemporary Art Fair takes "southern art ecology" as the purpose and concept of the exposition, hoping to expound a new "southern art viewing method" through the form of art, and watch the local art ecology and group composition. In addition to the gallery section, the fair will also present the "Southern Art Ecology Research" unit, the "Public Art" unit, the "Public Image" unit and the "Art Forum" unit. "Southern Art Ecology Research" is a process of combing and excavating artists in the southern ecology, and condensing in a space to present the artistic face of the southern art group.
The "Art Forum" section will invite several artists, curators, museum directors, collectors, art business and other industry insiders to share their experiences, and provide opportunities for everyone to exchange ideas and collide.

The "Public Art" unit and the "Public Video" unit will successively present more than 20 excellent works by domestic and foreign artists, which is also a continuation of the highlights of the previous art session. "Southern Art Ecology Research", "Cargo Lang Tu", "See for Yourself" and "Landing" constitute the four theme exhibition units of public art. According to Ai Hai, the founder of the Guangzhou Contemporary Art Fair, "Research on the Ecology of Southern Art" emphasizes the combing of the southern art ecology; "Cargo Lang Tu" is based on the cultural history of Guangzhou's thousand-year-old Shangdu, expressing Guangzhou's commercial and trade culture in a way of experimental art, designing and recreating the visible things in life, forming a "saleable" work, and presenting a dazzling "goods" exhibition in an art fair; "See for Yourself" not only has excellent video works of Che Jianquan, Shi Jinsong and Chen Qiulin. There are also art documentaries by Sui Jianguo, Tan Ping, Tan Xun and Li Yongzheng, which are enough for the audience to experience a public video unit like a "cinema". The weight of each artist in "Landing" is very special, which is to integrate the artistic state at home and abroad. "Each exhibition is an important part of the Guangzhou Contemporary Art Fair, and also sets a tone for Guangzhou Contemporary that is not limited or cannot be defined, hoping to deepen the audience's understanding of contemporary art and give the audience more artistic guidance." Ai Hai said.
