How did Sun Ruowei's biological father, Jing Qing, die? In history, he is much more miserable than in "Daming Style"

"Daming Style" is a costume TV series set in the history of the Ming Dynasty. The original story of the play takes place in the fourth year of Jianwen of the Ming Dynasty (1402), when Zhu Di, the King of Yan, led an army into the Capital Ying Tianfu (present-day Nanjing), Emperor Jianwen mysteriously disappeared under the condition that the general trend had gone, and Zhu Di successfully usurped the throne and became the third emperor in the history of the Ming Dynasty.

After Zhu Di ascended the throne and became emperor, many Ming courtiers loyal to Emperor Jianwen still denounced him as a traitor, so Zhu Di began to kill on a large scale. In "The Style of Daming", a large number of civil and military officials were beheaded in the palace, including the heroine Sun Ruowei's biological father, The Imperial Master Jingqing. So the question is, is there really a figure of Jingqing in history? Does his ending look the same as in the TV series?

First of all, we must determine the first problem, that is, Jingqing really has its own people in history. However, his ending is much more tragic than in "Daming Style".

Jing Qing was born in 1362 in Zhenning Zhaizi Village, Shaanxi (present-day Zhengning, Gansu). The "History of Ming" says that he "has a big festival and never forgets to read a book", which means that he is free but pays attention to the big festival, and never forgets to read a book.

When Jing Qing was a child, his family was very poor, but he was very smart, especially in reading. So with the financial support of his father and elder in his hometown, Jingqing was able to enroll in school. After more than ten years of diligent study, Jingqing finally entered the highest institution of learning in the Ming Dynasty, Guozijian, which is equivalent to our students today being admitted to Tsinghua and Peking University.

In the twenty-seventh year of Hongwu (1394), Jingqing played an outstanding role in the temple examination, and finally won the second place in the first class, and was awarded the post of editor of the Hanlin Academy according to the custom, and later changed to the imperial history (正七品, whose functions are similar to today's Central Discipline Inspection Commission), becoming a speaker of the Ming Dynasty.

For most people, the promotion of the workplace often requires a long process, but Jingqing's career is unusually smooth. In the thirtieth year of Hongwu (1397), Jingqing was promoted to the post of Zuo Youdu (正四品) and became a high-ranking official in the imperial court. However, just when Jingqing was "proud of the spring breeze", a work mistake made him angry with Long Yan, so he was demoted to a local job.

After Zhu Yuanzhang's death, his grandson Zhu Yunjiao succeeded to the throne as Emperor Jianwen. Emperor Jianwen knew that Jingqing was a great talent, so he ordered him to be transferred back to the Beijing Division and promoted him to the rank of Imperial Shi Dafu (正一品, equivalent to today's Secretary of the Central Discipline Inspection Commission), when Jingqing was only 37 years old.

In 1399, Zhu Di (the fourth son of Zhu Yuanzhang), the King of Yan, rebelled under the name of "Qing Jun's Side, Jing Guo Difficulty". After more than three years of conquest, Zhu Di defeated the imperial army and entered the Beijing Division, which opened the first scene in "Daming Style". After Zhu Di ascended the throne as emperor, he hunted down and killed ministers loyal to Emperor Jianwen, such as the famous Fang Xiaoru, Qi Tai, Huang Zicheng, Tie Xuan, and others, all of whom were tortured to death by Zhu Di's orders. However, the real history of Jingqing was not hacked to death by a knife as played in the TV series, but bowed to Zhu Di and continued to serve as the imperial master.

When you see this, will you be scornful of Jingqing's discipline? Don't worry, it's not over yet. At that time, there were indeed many officials who saw the wind and made the rudder bow to Zhu Di, but Jingqing was not one of them. The reason why he "apostatized" was because he hoped that his death would be more valuable, rather than like Fang Xiaoru, who saved his reputation, but died meaninglessly.

One morning, Jing Qing entered the palace with a sharp blade, planning to assassinate Zhu Di on the occasion of the upper dynasty. However, Zhu Di had already received a secret report in advance, so he ordered someone to search his body during the Jingqing Dynasty, and the result was that the hidden knife was really found. Zhu Di questioned Jingqing on the spot, saying, "You are not thin, why do you want to harm You?" Jing Qing angrily rebuked, "I want to avenge the old lord and hand blade the thief." Zhu Di was originally in an improper position, and the most taboo to hear the word "reverse thief", Jing Qing accused him in front of the Manchu Dynasty Wenwu, which immediately made Zhu Di furious. He immediately ordered Jingqing to be skinned and tortured and dismembered. At the same time, he also ordered the whole clan of Zhulian Jingqing. As a result, not only JingQing died tragically, but all his fathers and elders in his hometown were persecuted, and the village was reduced to ruins.
