The archaeological team opened the tomb and saw the dragon robe thinking that the owner of the tomb was the emperor, but it turned out to be a princess

In 1972, an archaeological team excavated a Qing Dynasty tomb in Mongolia. The tomb is huge, it is magnificent, 45 meters wide from east to west, 105 meters long from north to south, covering an area of about 5,000 square meters, and surrounded by brick walls. The archaeological team carried out a protective excavation of the tomb, and when the archaeological team opened the burial chamber, they were greeted by a gorgeous dragon robe. But then something happened that shocked everyone, and the owner of this dragon robe turned out to be a woman.

The owner of the tomb is clearly a woman, and her body is still alive after more than 240 years, with elastic and lifelike skin. The body wears a gold phoenix crown on the head, a gold bracelet on the wrist, a ring on the wrist, a big red satin full of embroidered boots, and a multi-layered costume, which is gorgeous and dazzling. So, which woman was buried wearing a dragon robe?

It should be known that the two women with the highest status in China's history, Wu Zetian, the only female emperor in China, and Empress Dowager Cixi, the actual ruler at the end of the Qing Dynasty, did not dare to be buried with the etiquette of the emperor, let alone wearing a dragon robe. Later, an epitaph revealed the truth, and it turned out that the woman in the dragon robe was Princess Gulun Rongxian.

Princess Gulun Rongxian was the third daughter of the Kangxi Emperor, and her mother was Princess Rongfei Ma Jiashi, who was sent to the palace at the age of ten, but because she was too young to reach the age of canonization, she was raised in the palace, and as she grew older, Ma Jiashi also began to slowly contact the Kangxi Emperor, and soon gave birth to a son for the Kangxi Emperor, and in the next ten years gave birth to five more children for Kangxi.

Although Princess Rongxian was kangxi's third daughter, kangxi's first two daughters died early, so princess rongxian actually became the eldest daughter of the emperor. According to the custom of the Qing Dynasty, only a princess born to an empress could be named a princess of Gulun, but princess Rongxian, as the daughter born to a concubine, Kangxi named her princess of Gulun and was the only princess of Kangxi, which shows the degree of Kangxi's favor for Princess Rongxian.

Thirty years after Kangxi, Princess Rongxian was already 19 years old, and according to the reason, this age had long reached the time to talk about marriage, but Kangxi wanted Princess Rongxian to accompany her more, and Princess Rongxian did not marry until she was 20 years old, Kangxi found a good relative for him, the great-grandson of Emperor Taiji, the second son of King Ozil of Zasak Doro County, although she married Mongolia, Princess Rongxian still often returned to the palace to visit Kangxi and her mother.

In the forty-eighth year of Kangxi, the Kangxi Emperor was seriously ill, and Princess Rongxian chose to return to the palace again to take care of the seriously ill Kangxi Emperor, which made Kangxi very moved, so he crowned Princess Rongxian as Princess Gulun Rongxian, which was the only time Kangxi was canonized, and Princess Rongxian became the first princess born of a concubine to be crowned Princess Gulun.

Princess Rongxian's husband, Dolgun, was also highly valued by Kangxi because of this family affair, and he accompanied Kangxi on many expeditions, made great achievements, and finally died in the army, and seven years later Princess Rongxian also died of illness, and with her husband, her body was buried in Mongolia. To this day, the tomb of Princess Rongxian has been excavated and reproduced.

As we all know, the dragon robe is the symbol of the emperor, the highest ceremony of the emperor's burial, and in ancient times, people had strict rules on the clothing of different classes for burial, and the dragon robe worn by Princess Rongxian was really surprising, from which it can also be seen how doting Kangxi doted on Princess Rongxian. Although not an emperor, she was buried in a dragon robe, and Princess Rongxian was the first and only one in history.
