As we all know, during the Three Kingdoms period, heroes were born. Lü Bu is one of them. In the rendition, Lü Bu is even more known as the "first fierce general of the Three Kingdoms", and the folk are even more known as "the red rabbit in lü bu's horse among people". And Lü Bu's real fame also began with the Tiger Prison Pass alone to fight the Eighteenth Road Princes. Looking at the history books, Lü Bu's person was "born with great vigor and majesty", and he was not very human at first glance. However, such a talent, after being captured by Cao Cao in the third year of Jian'an, was killed by Cao Cao, but Zhang Liao, who was also a prisoner, was taken into Cao Cao's camp by Cao Cao. Why? The following are my personal views.
First, Liu Bei had a vendetta against Lü Bu and must have advised Cao Cao not to keep his mouth alive.
In the third year of Jian'an, when Cao Cao captured Lü Bu, Liu Bei was taking refuge on Cao Cao's knees. The root cause of the evacuation lies precisely in Lü Bu. Lü Bu captured Liu Bei's Xuzhou and wanted to kill Liu Bei completely, but Liu Bei had no choice but to defect to Cao Cao. At this moment, Lü Bu was captured, and presumably Liu Bei's heart was also very happy. Naturally, he would do everything he could to persuade Cao Cao to kill Lü Bu.
According to the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, after Lü Bu was captured by Cao Cao, he once said to Cao Cao: Ming Gong was suffering from no more than Yu Bu. The cloth is now served. Gong is a general, cloth is vice-president, and the world is not difficult to determine! Hearing this, Cao Cao's heart inevitably wavered a little, after all, Lü Bu's ability was obvious to all. It's a shame to kill a talent. But after Liu Bei listened, he definitely deepened his intention to kill Lü Bu. Because Liu Bei also had the ambition to unify the world, if Lü Bu returned to Cao Cao, the Cao family's forces would certainly be like tigers, and it would be more difficult for him to be hostile.
Therefore, when Cao Cao asked Liu Bei's opinion, Liu Bei put forward his own opinion. Xuan De replied: "Don't you see Ding Jianyang and Dong Zhuo?" And it was this sentence that reminded Cao Cao. Although Lü Bu is a fierce general, if he can't use it for himself, I am afraid that he will die at the hands of Lü Bu in the future like others. What's more, Cao Cao has always been suspicious, and the lessons of Dong Zhuo and others are clearly in front of them, coupled with Liu Bei's advice, Lü Bu will eventually be unable to escape the end of being killed.
Second, Lü Bu himself, as a slave with three surnames, has poor character and is really difficult to use.
In 176 AD, Lü Bu defected to and assassinated Shi Dingyuan, and later Ding Yuan saw that Lü Bu's martial arts were extraordinary, so he accepted him as a righteous son. Hou Lü was seduced by Dong Zhuo and, after killing Ding Yuan, worshiped Dong Zhuo as his righteous father. Later, Dong Zhuo blackmailed tianzi to order the princes to rape the harem and be greedy for money and lust. Wang Yun used the mink cicada as a lure to arouse Lü Bu's hatred for Dong Zhuo and persuaded Lü Bu to kill Dong Zhuo with his own hands. After Lü Bu was defeated, he turned to Liu Bei. Zhang Fei angrily denounced him as a "family slave with three surnames".
And it was Lü Bu's temperament that led to his eventual death. Looking back on Lü Bu's life, although he was strong in martial arts, he was desperate for profit, typical of wall grass. The character is also proud of his achievements and is eager to make quick profits. Even in that era when faith was more important than everything else, ungrateful, for their own interests, killed their righteous fathers three times and twice, which was despised by the people of the world. It is precisely because of his own unbearable past that Liu Bei's words and two words will affect Cao Cao's decision and kill Lü Bu.
What's more, in Cao Cao himself, he was jealous and suspicious, and even if Lü Bu eventually defected to Cao Cao's camp, with Cao Cao's nature, I am afraid that it would be difficult to unload his defenses against him, and Lü Bu would be difficult to reuse. And Liu Bei was meek and the most faithful, and Lü Bu, no matter what, had broken the siege for Liu Bei and was kind to him. If Lü Bu himself had deceived others too much and done many evil deeds, how could he have ended up with a fate that no one could save and no one dared to save? And Cao Cao once commented on Lü Bu: "'Bu, the wolf's ambition, is difficult to raise for a long time, and it is not Qing Who can investigate his feelings." It can be seen that Lü Bu's end has long been predestined.
Third, compared with Lü Bu, Zhang Liao can be described as a fierce general, and there is Guan Yu's intercession, which is naturally reused.
Zhang Liao, who first served as an official of Yanmen County, and later followed Ding Yuan, He Jin, Dong Zhuo, Lü Bu and others, although he experienced ups and downs, he always fulfilled his duties. Moreover, Zhang Liao was not like Lü Bu, who repeatedly rebelled against the lord. Instead, after the death of the lord he followed, he went to find the next person he could turn to. In detail, it is not a traitor in essence. This shows Zhang Liao's loyalty.
After Lü Bu and Zhang Liao were both captured due to defeat, the reaction of the two was enough for Cao Cao to feel how to choose. Zhang Liao's reaction was to refuse to surrender and scold Cao Cao, which shows that he is not afraid of death. Lü Bu was not like this, he first seduced Cao Cao, saying that he could serve him, and then he could not see it, and then he broke his mouth and scolded. The sharp contrast between the two is also enough for Cao Cao to see the character of the two and choose Zhang Liao.
What's more, when Cao Cao wanted to kill Zhang Liao, Guan Yu under Liu Bei once interceded with Cao Cao on Behalf of Zhang Liao. According to the yanyi record: "Xuande climbed his arm, and Yun Chang knelt in front of him. Xuan De said: "Such a person with a pure heart is just to be retained." Yun Changyue: "Guan Mousu knows that Wenyuan is a loyal and righteous man, and is willing to save his life." Because of The intercession of Guan Yu and Liu Bei, Cao Cao also got off the donkey and took Zhang Liao.
It can be seen that the difference in the endings of Lü Bu and Zhang Liao is precisely due to the level of character.
