Born in 1860 in Minxian County, Fujian Province, Zheng Xiaoxu was accomplished in literature and calligraphy, but was an extremely complex figure politically.
During the Qing Dynasty, Zheng Xiaoxu actively promoted the modernization process of China, advocated that China should take the initiative to integrate into the world, and made great contributions to the pursuit of national prosperity. After the Xinhai Revolution overthrew the feudal rule of the Qing Dynasty, Zheng Xiaoxu stubbornly held the idea of loyalty to the king, took the Republic of China as an enemy, dreamed of restoring the Qing Dynasty all the time, and went to the opposite side of historical development. After Japan launched the war of aggression against China, Zheng Xiaoxu even plotted with Japan to establish a puppet Manchukuo, becoming a traitor and sinner who split the country and was forever nailed to the pillar of shame.
On March 9, 1932, the so-called "founding" and "inauguration" ceremony of the puppet state of Manchukuo was the "Declaration of Governance" read out by Zheng Xiaoxu instead of Puyi. Zheng Xiaoxu was also credited with helping Puyi and listening to the Japanese. He was also sent to the throne of the "prime minister" of puppet Manchukuo by the Japanese. At this time, Zheng Xiaoxu simply became the number one celebrity in the puppet Manchu traitor clique, and even his two sons, Zheng Chui and Zheng Yu, were specially appointed as foreign secretaries of the executive government.
The Manchurian Daily, a pseudo-Manchu publication at the time, also flattered him: "Inuyasha was the Prime Minister of Japan, and his son Jian was the secretary; Zheng Xiaoxu was the Prime Minister of Manchuria, and his son Chui was also the secretary." At the same time, Zheng Xiaoxu's grandson also married Puyi's sister, and Zheng Xiaoxu not only became the "premier" but also became a pseudo-Manchu imperial relative, and Zheng Xiaoxu's arrogance at this time in the northeast land was unmatched. But in fact, Zheng Xiaoxu knew very well that his so-called "prime minister" was just the "chief manager" who helped the Japanese to take care of the nursing home, just like the chief eunuch in the Forbidden City, and all actions had to be under the command of the Japanese, the "Lafayette".
After becoming the prime minister of puppet Manchukuo, Zheng Xiaoxu signed the "Japan-Manchuria Protocol" with the Japanese that betrayed the interests of the northeast, directly turning the northeast into nominal independence and actually establishing the status of becoming a Japanese colony.
After completing a series of traitorous activities in two years and the Japanese completely controlling the puppet Manchus, the Japanese decided to give Puyi and Zheng Xiaoxu a little sweetness, allowing Puyi to be promoted to emperor, and Zheng Xiaoxu became a "founding hero". In 1934, puppet Manchuria officially changed to the imperial system, Puyi changed from ruling to Emperor Kant, and Zheng Xiaoxu also changed from "Prime Minister" to "Prime Minister of State".
As a reward for Zheng Xiaoxu's dedication to "service" to the Japanese before and after the saddle. Shortly after Puyi became emperor, on March 22, 1933, Zheng Xiaoxu began his visit to Japan as the prime minister of the puppet state of Manchukuo.

After Zheng Xiaoxu finished his visit to Japan, his use as a traitor in the eyes of the Japanese gradually lost, and the Japanese became increasingly cold to him. He merely became a tool for signing documents required by the Japanese.
After Puyi's visit to Japan in 1935, the Japanese decided to let Zheng Xiaoxu step down and replace Zhang Jinghui with Zhang Jinghui as the premier of the state, although Zheng Xiaoxu was unwilling to give up the throne, but at the request of the Japanese, he could only force a smile and say that the three pleasures of life had been completed, and from then on, he was no longer an official, and it was enough to be happy.
Zheng Xiaoxu, who was kicked away by the Japanese, although he still wanted to continue to work hard for the Japanese, the Japanese had long looked down on him. Zheng Xiaoxu could only practice calligraphy at his home in Changchun under the supervision of Japanese agents.
On March 28, 1938, Zheng Xiaoxu died in his home on Liuying Road in Changchun, at the age of 80, completing his complicated and shameful life.
