In the late Qing Dynasty, this Zheng Xiaoxu was also a celebrity, he was once an aide to Li Hongzhang, a major minister of the imperial court, and was highly valued by the imperial court. In the seventeenth year of Guangxu, Zheng Xiaoxu was sent to Japan by the Qing court to serve as a clerk of the Qing consulate in Japan. Three years later, the Sino-Japanese War broke out, and Zheng Xiaoxu returned to China to serve under Zhang Zhidong's men.
In addition to being a court official, Zheng Xiaoxu was also a calligrapher himself, and if we talk about the achievements of calligraphy alone, Zheng Xiaoxu can definitely rank among modern calligraphers. His calligraphy style was studied by Ouyang Qing and Su Shi, and the characters he wrote were Cang Jin Pu Mao. Zheng Xiaoxu wrote that many people want to spend a lot of money to buy. Logically, the literati had their own ethics, but after the Japanese established the puppet state of Manchukuo, Zheng Xiaoxu defected to the Japanese as a traitor.

It turned out that the 4 words written by Zheng Xiaoxu were "Bank of Communications". As early as 1908, the Bank of Communications was established in Nanjing. However, for some reasons, the Bank of Communications was to be moved to Shanghai. After the move, the Bank of Communications wanted to find a calligraphy for everyone to write a door, so it found Zheng Xiaoxu and wrote these 4 words.
Not only that, Zheng Xiaoxu also has a series of bad behaviors. The last emperor Puyi's defection to the Japanese also had him behind the scenes, and he also helped Puyi plan for restoration.
