Objectively speaking, Sun Jian's performance in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" is far more powerful than his performance in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms".

However, if you pick up the records of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, you can see how powerful Sun Jian is.
First of all, Sun Jiangen is Miao Hong, a descendant of Sun Wu during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period. Sun Wu everyone knows that he helped the State of Wu destroy the State of Chu with his outstanding military skills, never lost in his life, and was also respected by posterity as a "soldier saint". Sun Jian is a descendant of the "Bing Sheng", and naturally will not lose the face of his ancestors too much.
Sun Jian debuted at the age of 17, and when he followed his father to Qiantang, he passed the addiction of a lonely hero. On the way to the boat, they encountered pirates, and Sun Jian shouted and pretended to be shouting for officers and soldiers to catch thieves, which instantly scared all the pirates away. Sun Jian's debut showed extraordinary skills.
In the rendition, Hua Xiong is the "cannon fodder" killed by Guan Erye, while in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Hua Xiong is the governor who was killed by Sun Jian. The plot of history is roughly the same as that of the yanyi, except that after Zu Mao attracted firepower, Sun Jian temporarily fled, but in an instant he led the army to kill back, and the result was a big defeat to Dong Zhuojun. Moreover, Sun Jian still unconsciously beheaded Huaxiong. It can be seen from this that the value of Sun Jian's military strength in history is not low.
In fact, even in the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", you can see the prestige of Sun Jian, the fierce tiger of Jiangdong, from the comments of Cao Cao and Yuan Shao. When the princes attacked Dong Zhuo, the alliance lord Yuan Shao evaluated Sun Jian as "wentai brave and fierce" and ordered him to be the vanguard to break the enemy. From Yuan Shao's mouth, it can be seen that he has admiration for Sun Jian.
When Qingmei was cooking wine on heroes, Liu Bei said the heroes of the world at that time, but they were all denied by Cao Cao, and Cao Cao's reason for denying Sun Ce was that "he was not a hero in the name of his father". Sun Ce's father was Sun Jian, that is to say, Cao Cao was very optimistic about Sun Jian. Sun Ce was a "little bully", and he was even worse than his father, which showed how powerful Sun Jian was.
Therefore, Sun Jian, the fierce tiger of Jiangdong, should be eligible to be selected as the twenty-four generals of the Three Kingdoms, at least he is more qualified than Zhang Xiu and Zhou Tai. Zhang Xiu didn't have anything to do in the rendition. As for the folklore, he is Zhao Yun's brother and has outstanding martial arts, those are all nonsense, there is no such thing at all.
Zhou Tai has saved Sun Quan many times and in danger, he can carry serious injuries and die without retreating, such a performance is amazing, but he is still some distance compared with the fierce general Sun Jian. Therefore, in my opinion, Sun Jian should be able to be selected as one of the twenty-four generals of the Three Kingdoms, at least one of Zhou Tai and Zhang Xiu.
Of course, this thirty-four place in the three kingdoms will be a folk ranking, not an authoritative statement. In general, the historical Sun Jian is really strong, although he lost the election of the twenty-four generals of the Three Kingdoms, but he should not be forgotten.
