When it comes to the history of the Ming Dynasty, we have to talk about the things of the old Zhu family. Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang had four sons, namely The Crown Prince Zhu Biao, the Qin King Zhu Zhu, the Jin King Zhu Di, and the Yan King Zhu Di.
Careful people will find that the names of these four are all with "wood", which is very exquisite, and will be talked about later.

Let's take a look at zhu Yuanzhang's name for his grandchildren. Zhu Gaozi was the son of Zhu Di, Zhu Yunjiao was the son of the crown prince Zhu Biao, and was made the eldest grandson of the emperor, looking at the names of these two people, you will find that their ranks are different, one is "Gao" and the other is "Yun", so why is this? Is there any mystery in that?
In fact, the ranking in the middle was set by Zhu Yuanzhang in the morning, and he wrote a two-cross sequence table for his sons' descendants. For example, the next generation of the crown prince Zhu Biao is the "Yun" generation, and the son is called Zhu Yunjiao.
Then there is Zhu Di, the King of Yan, who competed with The Jianwen Emperor Zhu Yunjiao for the throne and finally sat on the throne of the Ming Dynasty. The world that should have been Zhu Yunjiao's vein was immediately replaced by Zhu Di, and Zhu Di's vein became a symbol of noble imperial power.
The other two princes will not repeat them one by one, it is worth saying that among Zhu Di's sons, there is a man named Zhu Gaozi, who is supposed to be of the same generation as Zhu Yunjiao, but the branches to which they belong are different, so even if they are of the same generation, the ranking of names is very different.
Take Zhu Di's lineage, the next generation of Zhu Di is Zhu Gaozi, then Zhu Zhanji, and later Zhu Qizhen. People who understand the five elements can see the mystery of this.
Although Zhu Yuanzhang did not have any mandatory requirements for formulating the surname rankings of his descendants, there were still some hard and fast regulations that could not be violated. This principle is that they follow the principle of the five elements of symbiosis, that is, gold produces water, water produces wood, wood makes fire, and fire makes earth.
Zhu Gaoji's "blazing" belt "fire" belongs to the fire in the five elements, and fire is born of earth, so his son's name carries soil, and Zhu Zhanji's "base" is with the word "soil"; followed by Zhu Zhanji's son, and the soil is born of gold, so Zhu Zhanji's son is called Zhu Qizhen, Zhu Qiyu, and "zhen" and "Yu" are all with the word "gold"; and jin is born of water, so the descendants of Zhu Qizhen are called Zhu Jianshen and Zhu Jianyun, and their names are all with "three points of water".
For me, who doesn't understand the metaphysics of Qimen, I just think that such a naming rule is really wonderful.
I have to say that Zhu Yuanzhang's setting of such a naming rule really makes people feel very orderly, there is a wonderful sense of ceremony, it can be imagined that Zhu Yuanzhang has a very strong inheritance spirit for his Own Zhu clan.
But then again, after all, the text is limited, and the population is increasing, if you follow this way of naming, then the descendants of the Zhu clan are definitely not enough, so that the name strokes of the descendants of the Zhu clan are more and more, more and more partial, and even forced the later surname Zhu to create their own characters to give the descendants a name, it is really too difficult.
Later, with the proliferation of the descendants of the Zhu family, their names once appeared on the periodic table, is it true that this periodic table was established by the descendants of the Zhu family? In fact, it is not, that is because the periodic table was first introduced to China from abroad, since it is domestic, there must be corresponding Chinese characters to translate the elements, so scientists look up the dictionary to achieve today's periodic table of elements.
In fact, this is just an accidental event, the descendants of the Zhu clan who named and obeyed the word "Jin" probably would never have thought that it would be the same as the periodic table, which is really wonderful!
