On June 6, 1938, the city of Kaifeng, Henan Province, and the entire eastern part of Henan fell. In order to strengthen the intelligence war, the Japanese army sent Emperor Hirohito's nephew and Army Major General Sadasa Yoshikawa to Kaifeng to serve as the "chief of the secret service of the five provinces of North China".
Major General Sadasa Yoshikawa, in his 30s, although very young, has already shouldered the star on his shoulders. The leader of this great Japanese secret service has extremely strong reconnaissance ability and extremely fierce means. In the autumn of 1939, Sadasa Yoshikawa took up his post in Kaifeng, arresting 466 underground party members and 110 Kuomintang members in only four months. On one occasion, Sadasa Yoshikawa killed hundreds of resistance fighters in a single day. A large number of underground parties in the Kaifeng area fell into the clutches of the devil, and the comrades who were not exposed had to retreat elsewhere. In February 1942, the Central Plains Bureau of the CPC Central Committee decided to send agents to eliminate the murderous Japanese agent Yoshikawa in order to combat the arrogance of the Japanese Kou. At the same time, Dai Kasa, the head of the Military Command Bureau of the Nationalist Government, issued an order to the Military Command bureau Yu Station to assassinate Yoshikawa Sadasa.

Wu Fengxiang, a native of Xiwu Village, Yuxian County, Henan, graduated from Wuxian Normal School. At this meeting, Niu Zilong revealed his identity and asked Wu Fengxiang to serve as the leader of the special operations group to help the military commander assassinate the head of the Japanese army's major secret service, Yoshikawa Sadasa. One day in early May 1940, Wu Fengxiang sent to tell Quan that Niu Zilong, the station chief of the Military Commandery Yu Station, had agreed to come to Kaifeng. A few days later, Wu Fengxiang entered Kaifeng with a revolver. This time, Wu Fengxiang entered the Shaanxi-Gansu Guild Hall for the first time and finally met the leader of the big Japanese secret agent. Sadasa Yoshikawa saw the revolver and thought that Wu Fengxiang had the ability to help him capture Niu Zilong, the commander of the Yu Station.
