Brazil's "inaction" to protect the Amazon rainforest is now once again being "punished."
On December 14, local time, six European supermarket chain giants, including Carrefour (France), Auchan (France) and Ajod Delheitz (netherlands), announced that they would refuse to import related beef products from Brazil, because the brazilian beef merchants' handling of related products has caused damage to the Amazon rainforest.

The spearhead of the "boycott of Brazilian beef" action undoubtedly pointed to the US meat processing giant JBSSA. According to the report, a group investigation of JBS found that the group was indirectly involved in the illegal cutting of regional beef cattle in an illegal way, which is known locally as "cattlelaundering", which is similar to popular money laundering.
In order to protect the Amazon rainforest, there is zero international tolerance for deforestation and the destruction of vegetation in this area. JBS Group has publicly stated that it is determined to protect the Amazon rainforest, and has blocked more than 14,000 beef cattle suppliers because their beef cattle are illegally farmed.
However, there are always some interested groups that want to go outside the rules. Looking at the land in the Amazon rainforest area, many breeders in Brazil secretly run to the Amazon rainforest to raise cattle, in order to vacate the land to raise cattle, a large number of forests have been cut down.
As one of the world's leading beef producers, Brazil currently has more than 200 million cattle stockpiles. As Brazil's livestock industry grows, so does the destruction of the Amazon rainforest. Especially after Brazilian President Bolsonaro came to power in 2019, he frantically promoted the development of animal husbandry, believing that this industry can drive the Brazilian people to "get rid of poverty and become rich".
Under the president's advocacy of livestock, deforestation in the Amazon has surged. Since 2021, the scale of deforestation in the Amazon rainforest has reached a 15-year high, approaching that of Connecticut (an area of about 14,300 square kilometers). However, Brazil can turn a blind eye to the protection of the Amazon rainforest, so don't blame overseas resistance to the country's related industries. Everything verifies that fixed sentence, not to report, the time has not yet come.
