Almost all traditional car companies are embracing electrification, and the fate of the sports cars owned by these car companies is nothing more than two: suspension of production or electrification.

Audi R8
December 16 news, according to reports, Audi has officially confirmed that the V10 R8 will be the last model in the series, and is expected to be discontinued in 2023; even if there is a successor model, it is also an electric sports car.
Sebastian Grimes, head of Audi RS, said: "Audi RS is following Audi's all-electric strategy, which is also the plan for S and RS models. If we were to build a new type of supercar, it would be electric. It follows our strategy and vision towards an all-electric future."
The Audi R8 is a mid-engined two-seater sports car with a powerful V10 engine, a maximum power of 410 kW, a peak torque of 539 Nm, an acceleration time of only 3.3 seconds per 100 km/h and a top speed of 315 km/h.
In the era of fuel vehicles, the Audi R8 supercar is a "performance monster" on the field. But now, Audi is clearly more in favor of the RS series. On the Official Website of the Audi USA, the difference between the Audi R8 and the Audi RS is described as follows: the R8 is an uncompromising supercar; the RS is mediocre. In other words, the Audi R8 was born entirely for the racetrack, while the RS wasn't, it was only ahead of the average sports car. Although they are all sports cars, the RS is clearly more marketable and more able to take on Audi's electrification strategy.
