On December 14, the county party committee and county government of Zhongshan County, Anhui Province, held a centralized burial ceremony for 113 unknown martyrs. Nearly 200 people attended the ceremony, including Comrade Wang Yunyong, member of the Standing Committee of the county party committee and political commissar of the Ministry of People's Armed Forces, and nearly 200 people from the County People's Armed Forces Department, the County Veterans Affairs Bureau, the County Fire Rescue Detachment, the County Public Security Bureau, the County County City Management Bureau, and the County Justice Bureau.
At 9:30 a.m., under the presidency of Wang Guanghua, deputy director of the County Veterans Affairs Bureau, the funeral ceremony officially began, and in a solemn atmosphere, all the personnel took off their hats and bowed to the martyrs. Subsequently, members of the special police team of the Public Security Bureau escorted the coffin of the martyr to the burial area of the martyr's tomb for burial.
Jiang Chunsheng, the person in charge of the Martyrs' Cemetery, introduced that in order to let the scattered buried heroic souls rest in peace and let the heroes "go home", Lishan County has repeatedly held special meetings on the relocation of scattered martyrs' tombs, set up a leading group, clarified the division of responsibilities, compacted relevant responsibilities, arranged special personnel to be responsible, actively carried out the work of scattered burial of martyrs, such as platoon visits, on-site inspections, data comparison, and data collection, and held centralized burial ceremonies for 113 scattered unknown martyrs in accordance with the principle of "moving and relocating and concentrating on management".
It is reported that Lishan County has strictly implemented the spirit of the relevant documents of the state, provinces, and municipalities on the protection and management of scattered martyrs' memorial facilities, increased its efforts to concentrate on the renovation of heroes and martyrs' memorial facilities, established and improved a long-term mechanism for the management and protection of martyrs' memorial facilities, and included all scattered martyrs' memorial facilities in the county into management, and clarified the person responsible for protection and management. It has invested 3.76 million yuan to build 1 new martyrs' cemetery, repair and upgrade 3 martyrs' cemeteries, and build 50 independent tombs of martyrs and 6 tombs of martyrs buried together. The road of "searching for martyrs in a thousand miles" was opened, and a bronze statue unveiling ceremony was held and an exhibition hall was established for the special meritorious heroes of the Chinese Volunteer Army of the People's Republic of China and the martyr Wang Xuefeng, a first-class combat hero of the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. Through the continuous exploration of local red resources, the continuation of the revolutionary red gene, so that the historical merits bloom dazzling light, the heroic spirit highlights the eternal glory, creating a strong atmosphere to commemorate the heroes and martyrs, carry forward the spirit of heroic martyrs.
