He was also very good at cults of personality, but the people didn't care about this, and being able to eat and dress warmly was what they wanted, so the unbearable Hungarian people finally drove him down, so the authorities began to formulate a "new policy".
Hungary was originally a small country, and if it even started to stir up trouble, then the other countries would not be able to hold back, so the Soviet Union immediately decided to make a show to them, starting with Hungary.
Demonstrations took place in the Hungarian capital, starting with very few people, becoming more and more numerous, and finally reaching 200,000 people. Because the emotions of the marching crowd were fierce, there was finally a clash.
The Soviets immediately sent troops into Hungary to suppress it, and when the Soviet delegation entered Hungary, it was discovered that things were not as serious as expected. Although there have been casualties, it is only because the people are too depressed to shout in the streets. But these Soviet troops, which entered Hungary, really sparked the conflict.
Things became increasingly uncontrollable, and even within the Soviet hierarchy there was disagreement, with some believing that troops should be immediately sent to suppress the insurgents, while others believing that the Soviet Union should withdraw and leave the problem to themselves.
But when things got to this point, there was still room for negotiation, but then the Hungarian woman, doing something, made things completely dead end. It also led to the anger of the Soviet Union, which sent 17 divisions.
A day later, the rebellious Hungarian women publicly executed a group of politicians and officers in the squares of the capital, a move that completely angered the Soviet Union. So the Soviet Union sent 17 divisions in multiple routes to the Hungarian capital, and all the women who resisted were arrested and executed on the spot.
After that, the two sides began to blame each other endlessly, and this incident brought the Soviet Union the experience and skills to deal with such a similar incident, and in the subsequent similar incidents, the Soviet Union handled it very smoothly.
Hungary's position in the socialist family has been declining since this incident, and it was not until the upheavals in Eastern Europe in the 1990s that the event was put to rest.
