Samsung Electronics plans to launch related products as soon as possible, and it is expected to make large-scale investments in related businesses.

Samsung Electronics recently upgraded the Robotics Commercialization Task Force, which has been an informal unit, to a formal organization and referred to it as the Robotics Business Team.

Samsung Electronics has introduced various robotic technologies. Samsung Bot Care is a nursing service robot launched at CES 2019, while Samsung Bot Handy is a home service robot that helps with housework, launched in January 2021. The two robotics projects were created by informal working groups.

Samsung Electronics is expected to launch a home robot that can be connected to smartphones and home appliances. Currently, it is developing a robot Samsung Bot Serving for use in shopping malls and restaurants, a customer response robot Samsung Bot Guide, and a gait enhancement and motivation system (GEMS).

The company is expected to actively invest in the robotics space and promote mergers and acquisitions. IT Home learned that Lee Jae-yong, vice chairman of Samsung Electronics, said in August that the company would invest 240 trillion won (about 1.29 trillion yuan) in future technologies over the next three years. Lee's investment targets are robotics, systems semiconductors, biotechnology, next-generation telecommunications and artificial intelligence (AI).
