The supercharger is a voltage platform of about 1000V, and the power is above 500KW. The voltage of the previous mainstream vehicles was basically around 400V.

The charging speed of the supercharger pile is very fast, the charging time is basically 3-5 minutes, and it is basically close to the experience of refueling.

At present, Porsche electric vehicles are the only vehicles in the world that can reach 800V.

In 2022, many OEMs will launch 800V voltage electric vehicles, such as Xiaopeng P9, WEINET ET7, including Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen, which will all be on 800V voltage platforms.

Once the voltage reaches 800V, the matching charging equipment must also be greatly improved to truly achieve the experience effect of fast charging.

At present, there are still problems in the large-scale promotion of high-power charging piles.

One is the issue of cost.

For ordinary charging piles, according to 120KW to calculate, the market price of 1KW is about 300 yuan, but it requires greater power, including a full set of liquid cooling systems, and the cost of the entire charging facility will rise sharply.

It is conservatively estimated that the cost of liquid-cooled charging piles rising to 1000V and 500KW will double for every 1KW.

Second, it is still a cost issue.

Many operators invested a lot of points in the construction of charging piles in 2014-2015, but these devices do not have the conditions for transformation and upgrading, or if they want to carry out high-power transformation and upgrading, the cost is huge.
