Assassin's Creed is a very large series of games that was released every year from 2009 to 2015. In recent years, Ubisoft has extended the lifespan of these games, with 2018's Assassin's Creed: Odyssey and 2020's Assassin's Creed: Temple of Heroes receiving multiple expansions since their release. In 2022, Assassin's Creed: Temple of Heroes will launch a large-scale DLC, "Dawn of the End times," which is said to have a process of more than 35 hours.

If the 35-hour process is realistic, Dawn of the End would be one of the largest Assassin's Creed DLC to date. This begs the question: Why is Dawn of the End a DLC? Previously, Ubisoft would usually make something like this into a whole new game.
Ubisoft Montreal Extension Experience producer Jose Araiza explained the problem to Gamespot: "To be honest, we asked ourselves the same question. According to Aariza, Ubisoft has adopted a theme park-like strategy to build its latest Assassin's Creed game, with each expansion being a separate new world and just part of this larger park.
Araiza said: "For the whole team, this is the most cohesive way to give players this kind of service. The team worked hard to make everything accessible to players (including expansion content) so they could explore the world of Assassin's Creed: The House of Heroes, just like a theme park. We want players to be able to choose the legends they want to experience, in England, Ireland, Frank, and now Swartal Fahheim. ”
Ubisoft also sees the "dawn of the end times" as a reflection on the "siege of Paris" and the "wrath of the Druids."
